It was a long day for the Bombers as they took on the Diablos today and things didn't go quite as expected. Diablos scorched the Bombers in game one with a 24-3 victory. Diablos pitcher Nando picked up the win in the first game. Diablos pitcher Nando went out and pitched the second game as the Diablos won that game as well with a 11-3 victory as they now move on to face the winner of the Blazers vs Titans game today !
Managers please note that I made a new division called the Fall Divisional playoffs and you are to enter your stats on that page for the Sunday league. This way there will be different stats from the regular season till now. I will implement that for the future as well with this new divisional playoff look !
Weeknight Playoffs
Well , the second round of the playoffs begin this week and the match-ups just keep on coming. The Diablos (6-4) will face off against the Lunatics (8-4) for the right to go to the championship game next week. Both teams split during the regular season as the Diablos won the first game by the score of 20-10 with the Lunatics winning the second game by the score of 16-7. This should be an interesting playoff game as both teams are playoff tested and unfortunately one of these teams will be going home after this round has concluded. Let's go the tale of the tape here :

League prediction : I honestly believe this series will go 3 games as we will be playing 2 games on Thursday and if the 3rd game is needed we will come back the next night on Friday and finish it. This is definitely one of those pick'em games
Umpire News Flash !
When I go to a field to check things out especially during the playoffs and get blindsided with events that supposedly happened during the season I am not happy. Teams have told me that they have batted with 12 guys in a game and switching positional players with the EH spot. This is not allowed in RSC at all. Managers can only bat with a total of 11 guys. The EH can enter the game but they cannot be switched with a positional player. I will investigate this matter further as I already reprimanded 1 umpire today because he was guilty of doing it and also by the answer that he gave me that he thought it was okay. I will review all umpires after the season before I move forward going into next year. I cannot and will not make any promises as to whom will be here and things will be done in the best interest of RSC. I stated before that I'm my biggest critic and I expect much more from my umpires because the teams need to have confidence and reassurances that all things will be dealt with in a timely manner. I will talk to each umpire individually before the managers meeting because this here is a serious matter that must be addressed. I am working hard to insure our continued growth and this is the last thing I need to drag me down with. Umpires need to know all my rules and regulations without any questions or hesitation. Please do not get caught out there.
Hellboys Sweep HTS !
The Hellboyz have been reborn as they put together quite a series today with timely hitting and some good quality pitching from Jose Luis. Hellboyz won the first game by the score of 8-4 as HTS didn't real hit much and wasted a golden opportunity as errors continued to haunt them. Hellboyz scored real quick in game two with another error as they quickly went up 3-0 but HTS bats finally came alive as they cut the score in half by trailing 4-2 after 4 innings. Hellboyz then mounted a comeback by scoring 5 runs as they won 9-2 as the Hellboyz advanced to the semi-final rounds next week against the Heavy Hitters !
Outsiders Sweep Team Smart !
This was one of those games win which I predicted a 3 game series only to have pie yoked upon me. Outsiders defeated Team Smart by winning game one by the score of 6-5. The Outsiders would keep Team Smart off balance in game two as they won 5-1 as the Outsiders advanced to the finals against the Heavy Hitters with the winner heading to the championship in 2 weeks! Good series on both sides and kudos to the teams who helped relaunch the weeknight league for next year as we will regain our status in this community.
Diablos Derail Far Rock Titans !
Diablos continued their march towards the semi-finals as they took on the Titans in the first round of the playoffs. Diablos struck first bllod with a 15-10 victory on Thursday night but we had to go back to finish the game as the lights went off at St Johns park with the Diablos leading 10-8 in the bottom of the 5th inning of game two. Far Rock Titans played their hearts out but errors did them in as the Diablos capitalized by winning 14-12 as both teams get kudos on a hard fought series ! Diablos now advance to next week against the Lunatics who had a first round bye this week!
News Flash
The league has made a mistake with tomorrows playoff games. The Fyllthy Animals have 3 losses as opposed to the 2 losses that are shown on the website and the league has made the following corrections. Going to where you are slated to go tomorrow , the Rebels will be taking on the A Team while Storm will be facing the Fyllthy Animals as the Rebels are awarded the division title due to head to head record. All other games remain the same. I will text the managers involved so that no one can say they didn't know.
Saturday Playoffs
The Saturday playoffs begin next week as we will have 2 umpires for both series next week in which we will determine who moves forward and who goes home. HTS {5-7} will once again tangle with the Hellboyz {5-7} as both sides have split during the regular season with HTS winning the first 2 games and then the Hellboyz got revenge by winning today. Both sides match-up pretty equally but as they say in the softball world , someone is going home next week. The game will be at 9:00 am and there will be 2 umpires. Teams please remember to bring 3 new softballs in case we go three games. Umpire fee for both teams will be $ 120.00 dollars and if it goes a 3rd game it will be an additional $ 60.00 dollars.
Umpires : Rebel2000 & Stu Weiss
1:30 pm will be the D-Block squad {7-5} taking on the Los Cerveceros {7-5}. Los Cerveceros swept D-Block during the regular season and this should be interesting as I fully expect this game to go 3 games. The war to settle the score is on next week and this weekend should be a wild one from start to finish.

Taking A Route To A Better Future - "Rolling With Lebrew"
I want to say thank you to every manager, every player, every fan who did their part in making RSC a better league this winter. We are all taking steps to make this a league like no other, and the only way that can be accomplished is by the help and support of everyone in the league. After this season is done we will have some time to reflect on the good and bad that may have happened this past season. Next summer looks to be a very interesting one and lets hope it is. There are gonna be some topics of discussions coming next meeting in January. I would think regarding clarification of uniforms so we can look like a real league not a fly by night one, managers take more responsibility in meeting deadlines for roster stats n uniforms, also regarding commissioners being allowed to have a team in the league, just to name a few things. Let's all write down whats on our minds and bring it up in the meeting.
