OUR SCORPION MISSIONThe mission of Scorpion Youth Football Association, in partnership with individuals, parents and the community, is to create life long learners, who are competent, self disciplined and goal oriented, by providing a unique and challenging experience in a safe, healthy, productive environment adapted to the characteristics of the young adolescent.
The Scorpions are back for their 11th year and 7th year in CTYFL.As the new season starts up, we have great things to come. We are permanent members of the Central Texas Youth Football League (CTYFL).We have the honor of being part of the South Austin Optimist Organization. Our home field will be located at the Ric and Carmen Castaneda Sports Complex at Garrison Park.
We are expecting this year to rise to the top once again, which can only happen with full support of volunteers and parents.
WHAT IS SCORPION FOOTBALL?Scorpion football and cheer are members of the Central Texas Youth Football League (CTYFL) which is a no weight limit(except for our Pee-Wee division)and no boundaries league whose mission is to get ALL children big and small to play the great game of football. What makes us different than some of the other leagues we break our children up by age not weight again outside of our pee-wee division here is how we break it down:
Midget Flag : ages 4 and 5 years old (non-contact) $75.00
Pee-Wee Flag : ages 6 and 7 years old (non-contact) $75.00
Pee-Wee : ages 5,6, and 7 years old (tackle football and under 75 lbs at the beginning of the season) $85.00
Rookie : ages 7 and 8 years old (no weight limit tackle football) $160.00
Juniors : ages 9 and 10 years old (no weight limit tackle football)$160.00
Seniors : ages 11 and 12 years old(no weight limit tackle football)$160.00

Notice: Registration for SAO Scorpion Youth football/cheer is open to all children ages 4 - 13. Registration must remain until 08/09/2011 (except for cheerleading, registration end on 07/01/2011) and all who wish to register by this date must be accepted as long as they make required payments, provide required CTYFL documents and meet all other CTYFL eligibility requirements. No try-outs will be held - all children who register for SAO Scorpion Youth football/cheerleading will play. Violations of this CTYFL policy will not be tolerated. Please report any violation of this policy to the CTYFL Vice-President of Football (predmark@yahoo.com) and Cheer (connieramirez@me.com) at the email address above for immediate investigation and action.
