Scripps Ranch Little League is a baseball organization for children of league age 5 to 18 who live in the 92131 zip code. We have a Spring and a Fall season. Registration for the Spring season starts in November and evaluations (tryouts) for MAPs through Juniors divisions are held in January. Teams are chosen at the end of January, and practices start in February. Games are played from early March through early-to-mid June. Our Seniors (ages 14-16) and Big League (ages 17-18) divisions have assessments and team creation in May. Scripps Ranch also has a Challenger Division for children LA 5-18 with physical and mental disabilities.
Registration for the Fall season (also known as Fall Ball or Winter Ball) is in July/August. Teams are chosen and start practices in September and the season runs from October until the middle of November.
Our Registration page explains how a child's league age is determined and gives the age ranges of the children in the different divisions and more information on how and when to register.
Player related questions should be sent to the Player Agent. If you have a question or suggestion regarding the web site please contact the webmaster. Additional contact information can be found in the Contact Info area.
Fall Ball Registration is Open!
If your current league age is 7-14 or you are age 6 and played Rookies this Spring season, you are eligible to play Fall Ball. This is a 3-month league beginning in mid-August and finishing just before Thanksgiving. Registration starts in early July. The focus of this league is instructional, and seeks to provide an excellent “bridge” for those players expecting to play in a higher division next spring. At the same time, we will provide a fun and safe environment for the kids wishing to play baseball, while making all this happen exclusively on Sunday afternoons (to make this easier on parents and to avoid conflicts with other sports).

Fall Ball & Juniors – Bridge the Gap
Enjoy your Spring 2010 Majors or Juniors season? Continue that enjoyment this Fall and get a jump on the Spring 2011 season. Fall Ball is a perfect way to transition from the Majors field to the Juniors field and get the opportunity to do so in a non-competitive, learning environment. There are a lot of exciting differences between Majors and Juniors – including the following: - Rule changes – leading off, pick-offs, stealing. Juniors plays regulation baseball rules and the players really enjoy this change.
- Field changes – Juniors plays on a regulation size baseball field with 90’ basepaths and a mound distance of 60’ 6” – the same size field our high school teams and major league Padres play on. Fall Ball is great for learning to cover the extra field and learn to hit and pitch with the new distances. Hitters love it – more time to react.
- Equipment changes – Juniors players can wear metal cleats and use big barrel bats. One of the great sounds of the game of baseball is hearing a team walk together with metal cleats on concrete as they enter the field … a benefit for true baseball fans!
This will be our 5th season of Juniors Fall ball and kids playing Fall Ball always have a head start for the coming season. We play in the District 32 travel league which makes it fun for the kids to go to other fields and play against other communities. Join us – you will be pleased you did!!!
