Jr & Sr Clinic Soccer Banquet
The banquet for Jr and Sr Clinic Soccer will be held at the Southern Middle School Cafeteria on Tuesday, November 10 at 6:00 pm. Pizza and trophies will be provided. Individuals teams need to provide for drinks and desserts.
One Day Girls Lacrosse Camp
A girls lacrosse camp will be held November 28, 2009 at Tracey's Elementary.

Youth Coaches Certification Clinic
Date: Thursday, November 19
Time: Registration begins at 6:00 p.m. / Clinic begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.
Place: Old Mill High School / 600 Patriot Lane, Millersville, MD 21108
Coaches are entrusted with the important responsibility of providing an enjoyable, healthful youth sports experience. Coaches are role models, and are held accountable to a code of behavior that keeps youth sports in proper perspective. To assist with this vital undertaking, the Department provides a coaches clinic. The clinic covers topics such as coaching philosophy, sports psychology, legal matters, first aid, health and much more.
All head coaches are required to attend a Coaches Certification Clinic prior to beginning their second year of coaching. A coaches certification is valid for three years, at which time the coach must be re-certified. It is recommended that assistant coaches attend also.
Winter Sports Registrations -- UPDATED
It seems like fall sports just started, but we have to begin registering for the winter sports already. The county has once again moved up the deadlines on us. Registration is now open for the following winter sports.
We are now using an online registration system with the ability to pay via PayPal on a secure server. If you do not wish to use PayPal, you may mail payment to: South County Youth Association (SCYA), P.O. Box 42, Shady Side, MD 20764. Be sure to include your child's name and sport in the memo line of your check. Payment must be received within 7 days or your child's registration will be cancelled.
