2010 FSO Registration
The Folsom Sea Otters is a recreational swim team. All swimmers ages 4-18 (age on June 15, 2010) are welcome to sign up. The swim season begins May 1, 2010 through July 31, 2010. FSO practices at the Folsom Aquatic Center Monday through Friday. All swimmers are not expected to show up to practice all five days, but it is strongly encouraged. Swim meets are held on Saturday mornings beginning in May through July with two bye weekends. FSO is an organization that depends on the parents; therefore, each family must fulfill their volunteer commitment in order for a swimmer to participate. FSO provides a positive, rewarding experience that promotes fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, and life-long memories. What a great way to spend the summer! For more information see Registration Info.
Introduction and Philosophy
The Folsom Sea Otters is a non-profit, community-sponsored swim team, and members of the Folsom Athletic Association. Our membership consists of approximately 350 swimmers ranging in age from 4 to 18 years.
We participate in the Suburban Swim League, which consists of seven recreational swim teams, including 1500 swimmers. At the end of July, all seven teams compete in a three-day championship swim meet.
OUR PHILOSOPHY: The philosophy of the Folsom Sea Otters Swim Team is to provide a positive, team oriented, learning environment where each swimmer can achieve his or her potential by developing and refining necessary skills. The coaching staff, Board of Directors, and parents combine their efforts to ensure a quality, competitive/recreational program, with a regard for good sportsmanship. The Board of Directors will assume the responsibility of establishing and upholding these bylaws to ensure a positive and rewarding experience for swimmers, coaching staff and parents.
