2009 SEASON FINAL

Congratulations to Martells for winning the 2009 Playoffs beating Atlantic Bar & Grill 7-2. While the pitching was excellent on both teams, Martells started the scoring early with a lead off home run and had some timely hits scoring several times with two outs.
Atlantic didn't get the big hit when needed stranding several runners in scoring position throughout the game. Credit to Martells defense with several key plays ending innings and scoring opportunities for Atlantic Bar.
Awards were presented to Martells and Atlantic Bar for their 1st and 2nd place finishes in this year's playoffs. Mod Squad received an award for their 3rd place finish and Seaside Park Guards for finishing 1st in their division in the regular season.
One individual award was presented. The "Vernon Irons" Pitching Excellence Award was presented to Atlantic's pitcher, Nicole Webb who was nothing less than spectacular through the playoffs. Nicole was on vacation when Atlantic lost their 1st playoff game placing the team in the bottom bracket. The team rallied with Webb on the mound winning several games until final losing to a very tough Martell's lineup.

CWR ELECTRONICS WINS THE 2009 JERSEY SHORE CLASSIC

CWR Electronics Toms River NJ beat Swashbucklers Staten Island NY in the finals of the Jersey Shore Invitational Softball Classic by the score of
2-1 on Sunday 7/27, congratulations to both teams.
The Seaside Park Softball League would like to thank all the teams who particapated this weekend, we had great weather along with some great softball all weekend.
Photos of the tournament along with scores and brackets will be available in a few days.
