Vote to the left for the team that displayed the best sportsmanship throughout the league. The Church Sportsmanship Award will be awarded at the end of the season.

Please see the downloads page for league rules, scoresheets, and liability waivers for 2012. We look forward to a great season with continued excellent sportsmanship within the opportunity for outreach amongst the Christian churches in our valley. NOTE: Coaches, it is important to ensure EACH of your team members have completed and signed a liability waiver prior to playing in the league. Coaches will be required to sign a league rules form which includes their understanding of the rules and their responsiblity for the waiver forms.
The Southeast Christian Church Basketball league's mission is to bring Christian men and women together in a safe environment to build and strengthen relationships in the Salt Lake valley.
We are a non-profit, completely volunteer driven and supported league that uses high school basketball officals and rules. We typically have 7-12 games per season with a season ending tournament. There are two divisions UNDER30 and OVER30. The only difference is that players under 30 before the end of the season cannot play in the OVER30 league. Those over 30 can play in either or both divisions.
We have a pre-game prayer and often a devotion prior to games played to focus our attention and perspective on who (the Lord) and what (an 18" plastic trophy) we are playing for.
The purpose of the league is to provide an outlet for teams representing many Christian churches across the Salt Lake Valley to build relationships and bring people to their church.
The league plays on Tuesday & Thursday nights and Saturday mornings.
Cost for the 2012 league is approximately $275 per team.
Each team plays 7 games and there is a season ending tournament. The games are all held at Southeast Christian Church, 1881 Vine Street, Salt Lake City, 84116
The league is staffed completely by volunteers for schedule preparation, referee coordination, and facility maintenance. Please prayerfully consider running an evening and conducting the scoring for that evening throughout the season. We are extremely short on volunteers this spring and would appreciate the assistance in running the league whenever you are available.
The teams playing in the league must represent YOUR church. You are encouraged to have visitors or guests that are attending your church but are discouraged from having a majority of non-church attenders as part of your squad. Please use this opportunity to invite others to join the Christian community and God’s family in the Salt Lake Valley.
Each coach must read, communicate and complete the league rules form from the website and return this with the league fee on the first game of the league. It is important to communicate the rules to each team member before participating in the league.
