SHERWOOD YOUTH LACROSSE MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Sherwood Youth Lacrosse Club is to promote a positive athletic
learning experience for the student/athlete participants in the program. Our most sincere
desire is to maintain a motivating environment that encourages the development of good
sportsmanship, character, self-confidence, leadership and responsibility.

2012 Winter Clinic

The Winter Clinic is designed for all skill levels from beginner to expert.

A great opportunity for new players to try out the sport.

Limited equipment is provided for first time players at no charge.

Registration Fee: $40

New and returning players must have US Lacrosse membership number before registering for clinic. Membership fee is $25 and is valid for 1 year. Please visit www.uslacrosse.org for membership.

Camp Dates:

February 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th

Girls Camp Boys Camp

3rd - 8th Grade 3rd - 6th Grade

1:30 to 3:30pm 1:00 to 2:30pm

Snyder Park 7th & 8th Grade

Girls will be 3:00 to 4:30pm

grouped by grade SHS Stadium

The Winter Clinic is SYL’s fundraising event to help provide scholarships and equipment for our players.

Town Hall Informational Meeting

Sherwood Middle School Commons

The Town Meeting is a great way for families new to the sport of lacrosse to learn more.

After a short presentation, board members will be available to answer your questions.

We will have boy's and girl's equipment on hand and Sherwood Youth Lacrosse apparel.

The time has come to start getting in our helmet orders for the spring season.

The price hasn't changed & neither has the discount.

Sherwood Lacrosse Club needs YOU!!

As we wrap up another successful season for Sherwood Youth Lacrosse it is a good time to look ahead to next season. Our association has developed into a strong program that emphasizes skill development and fun while continuing to meet the needs of a growing lacrosse community. This continued growth of the sport in the Sherwood community has lead to an increasing need for new coaches to help develop our players at all age levels! Though the sport of lacrosse may be unfamiliar to you it has many similarities to other sports such as soccer, basketball and hockey.

Sherwood Youth Lacrosse needs your help and is looking for volunteers to join its coaching ranks. There are many training clinics and courses offered locally as well as on-line. And in most cases, SYL will reimburse you for the cost of attending these clinics/classes!
