The St. Lawrence Summer Horse Show Series is a series of hunter/jumper shows held at the Elsa Gunnison Appleton Riding Hall just at the edge of the campus of St. Lawrence Univeristy on Route 68 in Canton, New York. Competitors come from the northern New York region as well as Vermont and New Hampshire. To be added to our prizelist mailing list please contact by email

A show is held every month from April to October. We have a large indoor facility as well as outside grounds so the show will not be canceled due to weather. The show includes classes for just about every level. Beginner children and adults can compete in classes such as lead line (for the very smallest of our riders), beginner equitation, beginner hunter, short stirrup and long stirrup. Classes progress up in ability from special hunters to training jumpers. We also have an $800 Mini-Prix held in October. Check out the classes in " CLASS DEFINITIONS/FORMS" .
For those who choose to be a member of the show series, points are awarded and tallied for each class and year-end awards are given out at a banquet at the end of the season.
