COLT (16U) & PALOMINO (18U) REGISTRATIONS STILL BEING ACCEPTED!
The Board is pleased to announce that we will continue to offer baseball and softball for our older age groups for the Spring 2015 season:
Softball -- We anticipate fielding a combined 14U/16U team (or two) that will interlock with other area 14U/16U teams as well as possibly participate in a local sanctioned tournament. Practices will be structured to accommodate high school players. We do not anticipate fielding a 18U softball team at this time unless we have enough interest. If you are interested in managing at this level, please contact Commissioner Tom Dawson (see contact page)
Baseball -- We anticipate fielding teams at all three (3) levels. Similar to softball, practice schedules will be arranged to compliment high school players. Please contact Commissioner Justin Hardwick with any questions you may have about baseball.

Who is SRA?
Smithfield Recreation Association (SRA) is a local non-profit organization that runs baseball and softball for children (ages 5-16) in and around the Northern Isle of Wight, Carrollton and Smithfield areas. Formed in the Spring of 1968, we are not a part of Isle of Wight County's Parks and Recreation system. We do not receive any funding from either the Town of Smithfield or Isle of Wight County. We do "borrow" some County/School fields, when available.
Beale Park resulted from a land donation made by the late Carl M. Beale over 40 years ago. Through his generous donation and many volunteers and supporters over the years Beale Park has developed into the facility it is today.
SRA MISSION STATEMENT
To encourage, in all of the children who participate in our program, the development of sportsmanship, athletic skill, teamwork, self-reliance, self-discipline, and the ability to win graciously and to lose with dignity.
