Parents & Coaches,

We are all very aware of this week's heat wave. Our club policy is that practices will continue. As an individual parent or coach you can make the call if it is unsafe for your children. Games will not be cancelled, postponed or moved for high temperatures so a little practice in these conditions may actually help acclimate the children. In addition, only field closures (usually due to standing water not rain) will close our fields and lead to cancellation of games.

Pro-active measures for this week are to educate parents and athletes on hydration BEFORE they go into the heat plus offering alternative practice sessions (less running and/or shorter duration) with an increase frequency of hydration/water breaks. Drinking enough fluids (water is the best) and eating enough food (fruits and yogurts are good) should have your child's urine clear. If you child's urine is dark then then are not drinking enough fluids. A child that arrives at a game or practice hyrdrated enough that they have to use the restroom is ideal situation.

Good luck braving the heat and don't forget to hydrate the the heat it is usually a coach or parent that suffers heat exhaustion and not the children!

2015 Season Update

July 30, 2015

A quick update for the 2015 SNSC Fall season. All coaches should have received their official rosters and player contact information, and should be reaching out to their players. Practices can officially begin the first week in August – your coach will inform you of your practice day/location. Coaches – be sure to contact your players as soon as possible. If you are a coach, and did not received an email with your roster (always check your spam folder, just in case), please contact the club registrar at

Also, we need your help to prep our fields! This is an all volunteer club - and we can use as many volunteers as possible to help get our fields ready for the season. Meet this Saturday, Aug 1st at 8am

North Natomas Community Park (AKA the Foot Park)
1839 N Bend Dr, Sacramento, CA 95835

No experience necessary. Our Fields Coordinator, Mr. Raymond Guevara ( will be there to help get people organized. We will meet near the snack shack. Once we complete the fields at the FootPark, we will move on to the EyePark. With the right help we can be efficient and done by noon or earlier.

We are starting early to beat the heat, but please come prepared with water and sunscreen.

Hope to see you there! We're looking forward to a great soccer season.

2013 Natomas Cup

Our 3rd Annual Natomas Cup saw a shift from an "all-star" game to a more traditional soccer tournament that everyone was eligible to participate in. Our first District VI sponsored event went smoothly with our tournament director Susan Ross putting together a fine event. There were over 40 teams that participated from many Sacramento area clubs (the majority being SNSC teams). Everyone played their best and demonstrated a positive attitude. SNSC teams were allowed to participate for free and there was a minimal cost charged to outside clubs to cover the exepenses. Trophies were awarded to the 1st and 2nd place teams in each age division.

2013 Soccer Fest

Our 1st Annual Soccer Festival was a hit among our children and parents. Over 100 children registered onsite and over 300 people attended our event. Board of Directors (BOD) were there to answer questions about the exciting changes in our soccer club and many exciting events took place. Challenger was there to train and play games with the children, Inderkum JV and Varsity soccer was there to train and play games with the children, there were games to win discounted registration, uniforms to try on for sizing, and  small sided games being played. Next year we look to add more soccer related vendors and make this an event that everyone attends. Thanks for making this a great prelude to a fantastic soccer season.
