2012 - The Southern Maryland Senators 13U team, based in Calvert County, MD, will play in the Chesapeake Baseball Association and compete in a number of Tournaments in 2012. The team consists of players from Calvert, Charles, St. Mary's, Anne Arundel, and Prince Georges Counties.
The Southern Maryland Senators are affiliated with Northern Rising, a baseball program associated with Northern High School, located in Owings, MD. Northern Rising aims to:
- Teach each player how to be a first-class baseball player.
- Provide Northern High School and other High Schools with fundamentally sound, highly-skilled baseball players.
- Enable players and parents access to college baseball programs.
Northern Rising values teamwork and selfless dedication as well as a commitment to baseball excellence. Players are expected to develop skills both on and off the field. Baseball is a game and Northern Rising strives to make travel baseball fun and competitive, while keeping a healthy perspective. Our coaches are experienced, knowledgeable, and committed to helping Rising players in their future endeavors.
2011 - The Southern Maryland Senators 12U baseball team, based in Calvert County, MD, began play in the spring of 2011. The team played in the Chesapeake Baseball Association and competed in selected tournaments, to include the Annapolis Open, the Severn-Danza Spring Break Tournament, the Summer Kick-Off Classic at the Ripken Academy in Aberdeen, MD, the Hot-Stove Classic at Sports at the Beach in Rehoboth, DE, and the Essex Express Labor Day Shootout.
