The 2010 New South Philly Raiders in it’s first year back on the Grid Iron, Ranked by the SemiPro BCS National Ranking System ended up ranking 119 out of 603 Teams thru out the country. Coach Smith & Coach Wilson would like to thank all the men that had a hand in making this possible. We could not have done it with out you.

The Basic Raider QuarterBack Skills
Our Quarterback must be able to both run and pass the ball. Although some skills, such as footwork, vary depending on the play, certain skills are basic to the position regardless of whether a pass play or running play has been called. The Quarterback needs to master these Techniques-using the proper stance, controlling the snap, and securing the ball-to play the position Proficiently. To perform these skills, a Quarterback must be in Good Physical Condition. When the fourth quarter comes, the Quarterback needs to step into that huddle ready to go. If he looks beat and out of shape, his teammates will feel the same way and their play will reflect it.
The Basic Raider MiddleLineBacker Skills
Our Middle Linebacker must have the top 4 Fundamentals: Hit and Shed, Pursuit, Tackling and Coverage Skills. The Middle Linebacker: aka "Mike" is the glue of the Defensive Unit, Physically and Emotionally. Physically he must fill the open seams between Defensive Linemen and Patrol the Perimeter in Conjunction with the Secondary. In zone coverage "Mike" provides a cohesive pass defense underneath the deep zones. In man coverage "Mike" must take away the early throws.
