10U MAKING NOISE IN THE WSBL
The 10U Rage is enjoying success in the Gold Division of the WSBL thus far. Of the team's 5 wins in the WSBL, 4 of the team's wins have been decided by 2 runs or less. The team has beaten some of the top Gold teams in the WSBL such as the FCA Redhawks, the Clarendon Hills Cardinal and the Downers Grove Fury. Currently, the 10U team is on a 4 game winning streak and will have a busy week playing 4 games over the next 5 days. Coach Schicker, Coach Ranieri and Coach Billa have the boys on a roll and have been instrumental in teaching the boys the fundamentals that have been vital to the team's success this season. Keep up the great work and continue winning with RAGE!
11U RAGE CROWNED CHAMPIONS!
On May 12th the 11U Southside Rage team won the Championship at the "Best of the Midwest Challenge." The Rage beat the Frankfort Force and the Wheatland Ducks to advance to the Championship Game where they played the Western Suburban Wildcats. The Rage offense came alive to beat the Western Suburban WIldcats in the Championship by a final score of 11-4. The Tournament win marked the team's first Championship of the year and hopefully the first of many more to come! Congratulations goes out to manager Ken Koval and his coaching staff for keeping the boys focused throughout out the tournament and bringing home the GOLD!. Great Job!
RAGE UPDATES
This past weekend, the Southside Rage 11U and 13U teams competed in the Spring Break Classic at the Ho-Chunk facility, in Lynwood, Illinois. The 13U Rage Team played a year up in the 14U Division and held their own. The 13U Rage endured the 90' foot bases and 60' pitchers mound and were able to give the 14U teams some good games. The 13U Rage held the 14U Hitters Team, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to only 8 runs in the game. The Hitters eventually went on to win the tournament and shut-out all their opponents. It should be noted that the 13U Rage held the Hitters Team to their lowest offensive production in the tournament.
The 11U Southside Rage team opened up the Spring Break Classic against their rival, the Bridgeport Bombers. The Bridgeport Bombers were able to succumb to the cold weather and beat the 11U Rage team. However, the 11U Rage team came back the next day to knock off the Illinois Mavericks. The 11U Team then lost a heat-breaker to the Englewood Tigers, a team that they beat the following day. Overall, the 11U Rage looked impressive and have been playing some great baseball.
The Southside Rage 10U team beat the Western Suburban Wildcats on Wednesday, April 25th in a barn-burner, with the final score, Rage 13, Western Suburban WIldcats, 12. The 10U Rage team is starting to find a groove and put together a few wins. Congratulations goes out to the 10U players and their coaches...well done!
RAGE 11U SET TO INVADE NOTRE DAME!
On June 8th 2012, the Southside Rage 11U team will head to South Bend, Indiana to compete in the "Golden Dome Showdown." This tournament attracts some of the Elite Travel Teams from the Mid-West and is shaping up to be a great tournament. For 11 year olds, this is one of the most memorable tournaments as there is so much to see at the University of Notre Dame. All Rage players and their families will enjoy a tour of the Univesrity of Notre Dame Campus. Good luck to Ken Koval and his team!

The 2012 Rage-Bomber Classic has been announced. All Rage teams will play all the Bridgeport Bomber teams on June 3, 2012 at Bedford Park. Last year, the Bridgeport Bombers hosted this mid-summer classic in Bridgeport. This year, the Southside Rage will host the classic in addition to a skills competition that will include "The fastest man" and "The longest throw." Limited edition Rage-Bomber t-shirts will be available for sale. Mark your calendars and get your BBQ grills ready for what will prove to be a fun-filled day!
