The 12U Spartans are having a successful "Fall Ball" season at Triple Creek! Heading into the final weekend the Spartans are 6-2.

Welcome to McKinney Spartans Baseball!
The McKinney Spartans are a 12U baseball team based in McKinney, Texas.
Spartans will receive quality instruction from a coaching staff with award-winning coaching experience as well as experience playing professional baseball. They learn the importance of being fundamentally "sound" while never putting themselves before their team.
Spartans are dedicated and COACHABLE players who come with dedicated parental and family support.
Even though this will be a highly competitive select baseball team, we believe that competitive baseball should be inclusive and we will strive to keep costs down as much as possible. Our goal is to create a team that can play together from now until high school.
The coaches for the McKinney Spartans are John Jurovic, Todd Stoneking, Brandon Moore and Reggie Gatewood.
Reggie Gatewood
Reggie was a NCAA Division I All-American at Northwestern State (LA) University (1993-94). He played in the Jim Wells "system", which featured an emphasis on pitching and defense. In 1994, the NSU pitching staff finished in the top 10 nationally for both E.R.A. and completed games. NSU also was the top ranked team in Division I baseball in fielding percentage in 1992. Reggie pitched two no-hitters as a collegian and earned 22 conference, regional and national awards during his two years as a Demon baseballer. After college, he played professionally in the Texas-Louisiana League for the Alexandria Aces. Reggie has 5 years of successful coaching experience in youth baseball, including his experience as a coach for the McKinney North Little League All-Stars.
Todd Stoneking
Coach Stoneking has 35 years experience coaching youth sports, the majority of which has been split between baseball and softball fields with three of his own kids. He currently serves as the Assistant Coach for Varsity Fastpitch at Legacy Christian Academy. Prior to that he was named 2008 Head Coach of the Year for the State of ND, where he coached Varsity Fastpitch for Shanley High School. Outside of softball, he has coached many Little League teams from T-ball up through Senior Majors, multiple All-Star teams and various Select teams from U10 up to U18 level. Upon moving to Prosper in June 2008, he joined McKinney Little League as an Assistant Coach, and has enjoyed that role for the last two seasons. Coach Stoneking now looks forward to building another great baseball team and many great players here with the McKinney Spartans!
John Jurovic
Coach Jurovic has been coaching baseball for 10 years. John knows how to lead a select team to victory, as evidenced by the success of his teams on the field. His passion for helping kids understand and enjoy the game of baseball is the "formula" to his success. Currently, John is coaching the Frozen Ropes White 14 year-old select team which has been his main focus for the last 4 years. He is looking forward to helping develop another group of talented players.
