The San Antonio Spartans Youth Football/Cheer Association (SASFCA) is a member of the Texas Youth Football Association (TYFA). The organization was founded in 2011 by someone that saw a need and an opportunity to bring a quality tackle football and cheer program to our kids in the Kirby and surrounding areas. The founder wanted to create a fun experience for kids that allowed both boys and girls to learn critical football/cheer skills and engage in a well rounded fitness development program while teaching discipline and life skills.
The success of this organization is attributed to sound non-profit operations, consistent fundraising efforts, effective collaboration with volunteer parents and coaches, commitment to the SASFCA mission statement and a consistent desire to improve.
The purpose of the SA Spartans is to coach, teach, train, motivate and to provide the youth of Kirby and surrounding areas, regardless of race, religion or creed, the opportunity to participate in a controlled athletic competition and to instill: good sportsmanship, discipline, value of fair play and good conduct. Also, to bring together youth through their common interest, promote tolerance and to encourage adults to behave in an exemplary manner.
