5th Annual Firecracker Invite
Entry Form
July 1, 2010
POST 1080 will be hosting their 5th Annual Firecracker Invitational tournament starting Thursday July 1st starting @ 3:30pm and running through Sunday July 4th. The entry fee is $450.00 and 1 Dozen NFHS certified baseballs. Please fill out the form attached to secure your spot. The field will be limited to 10 teams at each division. JR. POST 1080 Takes 1st Place
Plainfield POST 1080's junior team finished pool play with a 2 and 1 record on Saturday. Going into the Championship round on Sunday in a 3 way tie with Ingalls Park and the Plainfield Dodgers. After the tie breakers had been figured out the seeding was as follows.
1). Ingalls Park
2). Plainfield POST 1080
3). Plainfield Dodgers
4). Troy Baseball
Plainfield came from behind to bet cross-town rivals the Plainfield Dodgers to move to the championship round against Ingalls Park. The 2 teams met on opening day with POST 1080 coming out on top. The game was a good game all around with POST 1080 Coming out on top again. Way to go Guys you are the first team in the short POST 1080 history to bring back a 1st place trophy. Great job. Keep up the great work and get ready for Districts and you league championship.
