Volleyball Information
Divisions:
Varsity - 7th and 8th grade
Junior Varsity - 5th and 6th grade
CYO volleyball is a competitive program. Evaluations will be held the week of August 12th to pick players for each level (A/B). Please have your player available for evaluations. Depending on the number of players that register, we may field multiple teams in the Varsity and Junior Varsity divisions.
The CYO volleyball program would not exist without the stewardship of the parents and others. As part of the registration process, there are required fields indicating ways in which parent assistance is necessary to run this program. As always, we are in need of coaches and assistant coaches, so please consider volunteering in one of these roles. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
The volleyball season begins the 1st week in August with Open Gym times, evaluations beginning the week of August 12th, practices beginning the week of August 20th and tournaments and games beginning September 8th. The regular season ends in late Oct/early Nov and teams may participate in Regional playoffs that will be early-mid Nov if selected based on their regular season record.
Evaluations, home games and practices take place at St Elizabeth. Away games are played at various locations throughout Chester County. Evaluations and open gyms may be scheduled nightly M-F, practices will be held 1-2 times per week. Games in the past have been on Fri evenings & Sun afternoons (& likely to be the same for next season). Tournaments are usually held on Saturdays. There is a tournament at the beginning and the end of the season and 1 additional tournament opportunity during the season.
The Registration fee for all levels of volleyball is $115 (discounted to $90 for players that are registered for the religious education program, youth group member, or attend any catholic school) which must be paid before uniforms are distributed. Registration is conducted on-line via this web site and a check must be sent to the parish office. Click on Registration to complete the online registration form.
Players will be provided a uniform jersey, which must be returned at the end of the season. Players will need to provide own knee pads and black shorts (spandex or sports shorts)
