Spartans to Open up Sunday May 27th!
The Sullivan Spartans will be returning 5 HVCBL All-Stars to their roster this summer as they pursue their first ever HVCBL Championship. The 40+ game season opens up on Sunday May 27th at SUNY Sullivan vs. the Wappingers Yankees.
The HVCBL has expanded to 12 teams this year with two 6 team divisions. The 27 game regular season features 3 games vs. inter-division opponents and 2 games vs. the other division. The postseason begins the last weekend in July with a 3 game series followed by the Championship series of 5 games.
Along with their regular season schedule the Spartans have also picked up a handful of non-league games versus some formidable foes such as the Albany Athletics, the Schenectady Eagles, the Rockland Royals and the NY Grays.
