Swashbucklers are Metro League Playoff Champions for 2009
The Swashbucklers swept ADCO in the Playoff Final series 7-4 and 3-2. In game 1, Kris Bogach gave up 3 in the top of the first but settled down to allow only 1 run over the last 6 innings. Bogach also went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and Lou Kass went 3-3 with 2 rbi. In game 2, Joe Pezzella threw a 5 hitter allowing only 2 last innings runs. Mike Conigliaro, Tom Pinto and Vin Kass each had rbi singles, Rob Reilly was 2-3.
Swashbucklers go 5-2 (4th Place) at ASA Class C Windmill Nationals

We ended up finishing 4th out of 30 teams with a 5-2 record in the double elim tournament.We won our first 2 games against West Central Bud (Illinois) 7-2 and the Tornadoes (South Carolina) 12-2, but ran into a tough Kenter's Bud Light (Illinois) team and couldn't outhit them, losing 13-9 and making every game an elimination game from here on out. We came back Saturday morning to defeat Oetman Excavating (Ohio) 11-5, Slam (Missouri) 3-2 and then had a rematch against the Kenter's Bud Light team. In the rematch saturday night, we put on a show that had tournament officials and fans still buzzing the next morning with a 19-1 four-inning mercy rule victory that included six homeruns from six different players. Unfortunately we ran out of gas sunday morning and lost 2-1 to a tough Montgomery Travelers (Alabama) team that ended up placing second.
Mike Bourbakis (OF), John Schreiber (2B), Joe Pezzella (P), Steve Mullady (3B) and Anthony Shaut (OF) were all selected as All-Americans.
I thought we would have a little trouble adjusting to the windmill as hitters (given our limited exposure to it in Linden ) but we led the tournament with a .391 team batting average. And our pitchers, Bogach and Pezzella, with the exception of the first game against a real good Kenter's team, were just as good as anyone in the tournament, despite the fact that they were throwing slingshot and everyone else was throwing windmill.

RESULTS:
In The semi round of playoffs: ADCO swept the A's 12 to 7 and 11 to 1 with Bobby Torres and Jeff Pleszwicz taking the wins on the hill.Jerry DeMatteo belted a homer in the first game and was 3 for 3 in the nitecap for ADCO, while Swashbucklers won both games vs Sports Club, first game 4-0 with Joe Pezzella throwing a shut out, Louis Kass hit a homerun that would provide the difference in the game. In the second game Joe Pezeella was perfect through four , in the fifth inning SC broke through , Vinny Kass came in to pitch the 6th and 7th inning to record the save, with the Swash winning 7-4
Regular season Games: On July 16 the New Jersey A's defeated the Swashbucklers 6 to 3 in the first game with Leon Valentine picking up his 3rd win on the season. Dave Rennie was 3 for 3 with a homer. The nitecap saw Vinny Kass pick up the win in a 10 to 0 white wash as Louie Kass led the Swash with a long homer to centerfield. Adco defeated Sports Club 12 to 4 in the first game Dave Lohman had 4 hits while Jeff Pleszwicz picked up the win. The nitecap was an Adco 14-6 win. Dave Lohman ,John Cronin, JD Falanga had 3 hits apiece. Joe Delre was the winning hruler.
On July 14 The Swash won both games 10-0 and 9-3 vs Sports Club.. In game 1 Mike Conigliaro had 2 homers Lou Kass had a home run and Chris Serrano went 3-3. Kris Bogach threw a four hitter in the win. In game 2 Rob Reilly and Nick Both went 3-4 with 3 rbis and Joe Pezzella picked up the win not allowing a run after the second inning
July 9 The Swashbucklers defeated the A's 10 to 0 and 10 to 1. Kris Bogash picked up the win in the first game while Joe Pezella won the second game. Steve Mallady went 3 for 3 with 4 stolen bases in the first game Loui Kass belted 2 homers in the nitecap for the Swash.
On Field # 3 Adco defeated Sports Club 12 to 7 Bobby Rocca was the winning pitcher while Joe Olivo,John Cronin,Brian Cunningham were the Hitters , the nitecap saw Adco win 12 to 6 over Sports Club Brian Cunningham won on the hill with offensive help from John Cronin,Joe Olivo and Dave Lohman.
June 23rd The Swashbucklers defeated Sports Club in both games 10-3 and 18-5.
June 17 Adco defeated The Swashbucklers 9-6 Bobby Torres picked up the win. The nitecap ended in a Adco 3 - Swash 3 tie.
May 28 The Swashbucklers won both games vs Sports Club , Kris Bogach won the first game 17 to 7 and Vincent Kass picked up the second win 7 to 6 .
May 21 Leon Valentine picked up his second win with 6th inning relief help from Bob Wasilak as catcher Scott Goodwin belted a 2 run home in the bottom of the 5th to give the New Jersey A's an 8 to 6 win over ADCO. The nitecap saw an extra inning inning game won by ADCO 5 to 2 with a 3 run homer belted by Joe Cronin in the 8th. Jeff Pleszwicz won the game in relief
May 14 The New Jersey A's defeated Sports Club 11 to 5 in the first game with Leon Valentine picking up the win , while Sports Club behind the slants of Mark Lawrence won the nitecap 16 to 2.
May 12 OPENING DAY saw ADCO win the first game 6 to 0 while the Swashbucklers won the nitecap 14 to 5.
ADCO 2006 National ASA WINDMILL Champs / 5th in 07 & 3rd in 08 / 2006-2007 Playoff Champs.

ADCO Tool Shed with a 6-1 record won the 2006 Class C Mens Windmill Fastpitch National Title in Marietta,Georgia. Congratulations go to manager Pete Quaranta and his club.
ADCO 2006 & 2007 METRO LEAGUE PLAYOFF CHAMPIONS
As they did in 2006 to Champion Construction, ADCO TOOL SHED came out of second place in the regular season to sweep the Pennant winning Cardinals to win their second PLAYOFF CHAMPIONSHIP.
2007 ASA Class B Nationals
ADCO Tool Shed went 3-2 and finished 5th out of 14 teams in the Class B ASA Windmill Nationals.
2008 Class B Nationals
ADCO again went 3-2 to finish 3rd out of 6 teams in the Class B ASA Windmill Nationals
2009 ISC II
ADCO went to Quad Cities, Illinois to compete in the ISC II World Series .
