STEEL VALLEY YOUTH ATHLETIC ASSOC IS A POP WARNER FOOTBALL TEAM.
The purpose of the organization is to provide an organized format where our youth are introduced to football, cheerleading and other related activities in an atmosphere which promotes sportsmanship and fair play with an emphasis on safety in all coaching techniques. We believe that this is best accomplished by each child participating in every game. Further it shall be the policy of this organization to promote academic achievement among its participants

Board meetings will be the first Thursday of every month. Next meeting is Feb 4 at 7pm.
Our Kids range in age from 5-15. We sponsor and administer eight (8) Teams Steel Valley Steelers, (4)Football Teams and (4) Cheerleader Squads Divided by age and weight. The divisions are:
Tiny MItes 6-7 yrs old_________35-75 lbs
Jr. Pee Wees 8-9-10 yrs old____60-105 lbs
Jr. Midgets 11-12-13 yrs old_____85-135 lbs
Midgets 13-14-15 yrs old_______105-160 lbs
We will be competing in the Mon River Pop Warner Youth Football Conference (formed in 2007)and its looks to be the next big thing in the Region for youth football. That's saying alot.... since Western PA boasts more college and professional players than any other region in the country.
