Led by founder and former Pittsburgh Pirate, John Peabody, Peabody Baseball is Southern California's Premier Baseball Instruction. Lessons will be held at a local field or at batting cages provided by Peabody Baseball.
I, John Peabody, started Peabody Baseball after working with young players in 2006. It was then, I realized how important it was to teach amateur players what it took to make me a Top Prospect and what gave me the opportunity to play Pro Ball. I decided I wanted to teach hitting one on one as well as coach teams to really get a chance to teach young players how to play the game properly.
As a amateur and a professional I was surrounded by great teachers. I always listened to what was being said and loved to study what the “good” players were doing around me, in school and the Minor and Major Leagues. The longer I played the game at a higher level, I started to discover "The Plan". After seeing what it was like to hit against quality pitching every game, I had to figure what it was going to take to become a successful hitter. Throughout my career; whether I was in High School, with the Pirates organization or retired, I have always talked and debated about every part of the game, especially hitting. I have received a lot of ideas, good and bad from current and former MLB coaches and players. With the information given to me over the years I was able to come up with "The Plan", which is something that truly works. "The Plan" goes way beyond the average approach, taught by many "Professional Instructors", however at times it is as simple as "Start Back, Stay Back".
Clients will be instilled with the “Absolutes of Hitting” and any other baseball activity. Peabody Baseball will make the most complicated thing to do in sports, Hitting a Baseball, or any other individual task on the field, that at times seem impossible, more than possible and easier than ever to do consistently. I will teach you to maintain your own sense of hitting style while instilling the absolutes. Success in Guaranteed to if you follow “The Plan”.
Keys to "The Plan" are *Weekly Work Habits *Pre-Game Workout *Knowing the Pitcher *Set Up *Load *Stride *Timing *Weight Transfer *Bat Path *Body Feels and Movements *Posture *Hand Angles *How to use Top and Bottom Hand *Extension *Balance *Rhythm *Vision *Attitude *Approach and more.
