SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES - We are also encouraging patrons to sponsor either recreational teams or fence signs to help support the league. The cost of sponsoring a recreational team is $250 per team. With each donation, you will receive the name of your business on the back of a recreational teams jersey for the season. This is a great way to advertise for your company and to help SYAA at the same time. The cost of a fence sign displayed around the soccer fields is $1,000 for two years of advertising.

Please contact SYAA at syaasuffolkfc@gmail.com if you are interested in sponsoring a team or a fence sign. You can also sign up to sponsor at either of our registration days.

IMPORTANT NEWS

Changes are coming to SYAA Soccer.
SYAA Soccer leadership is going through reorganization this spring.  We are reinvigorating the SYAA Soccer Committee and adding additional roles.  We will be looking to you the SYAA patrons to lend your talents to these roles in the near future.

SYAA Soccer is reemphasizing our focus on the players.  As such our mission is:

SYAA Soccer is a volunteer run, non-profit, player focused organization that provides a fun, safe, and structured learning environment for developing soccer players aged 3 to 18.  SYAA Soccer develops players who respect themselves, their teammates, their opponents, the officials, and the game.  SYAA Soccer provides opportunities at the Recreational, Advance, & Select/Travel soccer levels.

As part of the reemphasis on a player focused organization SYAA Soccer is:

-  Working to improve communication with players, parents, and coaches by creating a Communications Director position, and improving and keeping current the SYAA Soccer website.

-  Providing Technical Training to SYAA soccer players in the coming months.  This will enhance player development, confidence, and enjoyment of soccer.

-  Providing Coaches Training to SYAA coaches of all levels this spring.  We want to educate coaches so they can create the best environment for player development.

We are working on rebuilding the SYAA Soccer website to provide you the most up to date information and a central resource for all of your questions.  Registration forms, fees and other information will be posted there.

We are also on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/SYAASoccer.  We will provide the latest news and updates there.  It is a great place for you to share your soccer photos with the rest of the SYAA Soccer family!

We also have a new email address for SYAA Soccer.  You can now reach us at syaasuffolkfc@gmail.com

We will be making additional improvements as we move forward.  Your feedback is always welcome.  Let us know how we can improve the experience for the players.  You can always send feedback and suggestions to syaasuffolkfc@gmail.com or reach SYAA at 757-651-7367.

COMMISSIONER NOTES

I want to briefly introduce myself to the SYAA Soccer Community. I am Marty Irvine and I have been appointed the Interim SYAA Soccer Commissioner during this period of reorganization.

I have intentionally sent this email out to everyone who has been a part of SYAA present or past.  If you have left the club, we would like to invite you, your players, and your teams back to SYAA.  If you are currently a present part of SYAA, thank you for being the lifeblood of the club.  Regardless of the category you are a part of, we want you to be a FUTURE part of SYAA!

Our goal is to strengthen and grow SYAA Soccer.  This cannot be done without your help.   If you are interested in volunteering to lend your skills and talents to help SYAA, please contact me at our new email address.  SYAA is YOUR organization and you are the foundation.

Thank you for your continued support of SYAA Soccer. We look forward to a great Spring Season!

Marty Irvine
