Summer Baseball League Registration - CLOSED
SYC has joined forces with neighboring JLS (Jacobus, Loganville, Springfield Township) to provide a summer baseball league for players 7 to 13 years old. SYC will have 4 teams in the Minors Division(players 7 to 9) and JLS will have 3 teams in the Minors. SYC will have 2 teams in the Majors Divison (players 10 to 13) and JLS will have 3 teams in the Majors. Games will start the week of June 18th and run through the end of July for a total of 10 scheduled games plus playoffs. Minors will play Tuesday and Thursday nights while the Majors will play Monday and Wednesday nights. All SYC kids will play for a SYC team, practice on SYC fields, and play the majority of their games on SYC fields. There will be several away games per team that will be played in Loganville, which is located only a few miles up the Susquehanna Trail from our area.

Intramural (In House) Baseball Information
SYC provides an intramural baseball program for kids in the Southern York County area ages 5 to 12. The age groups are based on the player’s age as of May 1st 2012. All practices and games are played on local Southern York County fields and against other players and teams within our area.
5-6 Division (Tee Ball) – Games on Saturday mornings and a weeknight practice each week
7-8 Division (Coach Pitch) – Games on Saturdays and either a practice or weeknight game each week
9-10 Division (Kid Pitch) - Games on Saturdays and either a practice or weeknight game each week
Player evaluations (ages 9-10) are held each year in February with coaches and teams selected shortly thereafter. Practices start indoors in March and then move outside as soon as weather permits. SYC has access to the indoor baseball training facility located at the Windy Hill baseball complex.

Travel Team Information
9-10 SYC has a tournament team made up of the best players from the intramural program that play in several tournaments throughout the season. To be eligible for the tournament team, players must also play in the intramural program.
11-12 SYC enters a team in the local York County Trave League each season. This is strictly a travel program and players will practice and play several times a week. All home games are played on local SYC fields and away games are played all over York County against other travel programs.
13-16 SYC enters several teams in this age range into the local York County Travel League each season. Teams are divided based on age and skill. This is strictly a travel program and players will practice and play several times a week. All home games are played on local SYC fields and away games are played all over York County against other travel programs.
Coaches and Volunteers Needed
Any organization is only as successful as the quality of their coaches and volunteers. If you have an interest in either coaching or volunteering in any way, please volunteer to do so. In addition to always needing coaches, we will be looking for volunteers to help with field maintenance.
