Moreno leads Tahquitz to 12-1 victory
Tahquitz beat Citrus Hill 12-1 Friday behind both the bat and the arm of Ben Moreno.
Moreno racked up three RBIs on two hits for Tahquitz. Moreno singled in the first inning and tripled in the third inning.
Citrus Hill was unable to make good contact against Moreno. Citrus Hill managed just one hit off of Moreno, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none during his four innings of work.
Tahquitz blew out Citrus Hill thanks to 10 hits, including three extra base hits. Tahquitz scored six runs in the fifth on a bases loaded walk by Nick Arrezola, a wild pitch, a two-run double by Jared Veiga, an RBI single by Sonny Garcia, and.

Early lead gives Tahquitz easy victory over West Valley, 22-1
Tahquitz jumped out to an early lead on West Valley and captured a 22-1 victory on Thursday at Tahquitz HIgh School.
The game was decided quickly as Tahquitz exerted its will early with 12 runs in the first three innings.
A sacrifice fly by Timothy Borst, an RBI single by Ben Moreno, and an RBI single by Michael Stewart in the first inning and a two-run double by Trevor Nelson, , a groundout by Stewart, an RBI double by Adrian Hernandez, and an RBI single by Hayden Firth in the second inning fueled Tahquitz's offense early.
Nelson racked up seven RBIs on three hits for Tahquitz.
Firth handled West Valley's lineup with ease, racking up eight strikeouts. Tahquitz's pitcher allowed no earned runs, four hits and four walks over seven innings.
Tahquitz hammered West Valley pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 11 hits, 18 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
Tahquitz makes the most of four hits in 5-3 victory over San Jacinto
Tahquitz and San Jacinto both managed to manufacture multiple scoring threats, but it was Tahquitz that eventually took advantage of them in a 5-3 win at San Jacinto HIgh School.
San Jacinto had eight hits compared with Tahquitz's four, but San Jacinto stranded 10 runners on base.
Tahquitz held off San Jacinto, as San Jacinto was unable to overcome a three-run fourth inning deficit.
San Jacinto scored one run in the fifth on. Unfortunately, San Jacinto wasn't able to take the lead back.
Sonny Garcia racked up three RBIs on one hit for Tahquitz. Garcia doubled in the fourth inning.
Ben Moreno was superb in relief, pitching two scoreless innings while collecting two strikeouts and allowing no walks and one hit.
Garcia, Trevor Nelson, Xavier Padilla, and Timothy Borst all collected hits for Tahquitz.
The bottom of the first saw San Jacinto take an early lead, 2-0. The San Jacinto attack began with a single from Phil Rodriguez. Then moved Rodriguez from first to third. Then a hit by pitch scored Rodriguez. More runs came home for San Jacinto when Silvas scored on a groundout by Steve Lara.
Tahquitz stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fourth, scoring four runs on a two-run double by Garcia, , and a wild pitch.

An ace performance by Timothy Borst hoisted Tahquitz to a 4-1 win in seven innings over Beaumont on Friday at Tahquitz HIgh School.
Borst handled Beaumont's lineup with ease, racking up 13 strikeouts. Tahquitz's pitcher allowed no earned runs, one hit and one walk over seven innings.
A a single by Angel Delgado in the seventh inning cost Borst his no-hit bid.
Sonny Garcia, Trevor Nelson, Jared Veiga, Adrian Hernandez, and Adrian Preciado all collected hits for Tahquitz.
The game's last lead went to Tahquitz thanks to a first inning rally that saw one run cross the plate on a passed ball.
Beaumont scored its only run of the game in the seventh inning.

Early lead gives Tahquitz easy victory over Arroyo, 12-0
Tahquitz shut the door early on Arroyo, capturing a 12-0 victory on Sunday at Tahquitz HIgh School.
The game was decided quickly as Tahquitz exerted its will early with 12 runs in the first three innings. An RBI double by Timothy Borst in the first inning and an RBI single by Adrian Hernandez, a sacrifice fly by Adrian Preciado, a sacrifice fly by Sonny Garcia, and a two-run triple by Borst in the second inning fueled Tahquitz's offense early.
Borst put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for Tahquitz.
Trevor Nelson threw two innings of scoreless ball for Tahquitz.
Michael Stewart, Garcia, Hayden Firth, and Borst each got hits for Tahquitz.
Tahquitz outmuscled by Damien, 12-2

Despite a big day at the dish from Timothy Borst, who finished 2-3, Tahquitz lost 12-2 to Damien at La Verne on Wednesday.
Borst got on base three times in the game for Tahquitz. Borst singled in the first inning and doubled in the seventh inning.
Damien came out swinging, scoring five runs in the first inning to jump ahead of Tahquitz early.
Jack Spohn racked up three RBIs on one hit for Damien. Spohn homered in the first inning.
In the top of the first, Tahquitz grabbed the early lead, 1-0. Sonny Garcia got things going for Tahquitz with a single. A single by Borst then moved Garcia from first to second. Then a bases loaded walk by Hayden Firth scored Garcia.
One run in the top of the seventh helped Tahquitz close its deficit to 12-2. An RBI single by Jarrett Veiga set off a Tahquitz rally. The game went final when Firth grounded out.
Paloma Valley outdone by Tahquitz, 5-2

The Titans had a good game at the plate in a 5-2 victory over Paloma Valley on Saturday at UCR.
Timothy Borst struck out 10, paving the way for a Tahquitz win. Tahquitz's pitcher allowed no earned runs on three hits and four walks over 6 2/3 innings.
Sonny Garcia, Garette Sandoval, Trevor Nelson, Firth, Jared Viega, and Ben Moreno each got hits for Tahquitz. Garcia led the team with two hits.
The top of the first saw Paloma Valley take an early lead, 1-0. Maddux singled to ignite Paloma Valley's offense. An error then moved Maddux from second to third. Then scored Maddux.
Tahquitz stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the second, scoring three runs on two singles and.
One run in the top of the fifth helped Paloma Valley close its deficit to 4-2. An RBI single by Downtain fueled Paloma Valley's comeback. But, Borst got Haro to ground out to end the inning.
