2012 Futures Trials
The Futures Program is the Olympic Development division of the United States Field Hockey Association. The purpose of the Futures Program is to raise the level of hockey throughout the United States and identify talented players that might be "future" Olympic level athletes.
Futures participants meet on scheduled off-season weekend dates at various locations to receive coaching and skill development techniques from some of the nation's top coaches. All coaches on staff are accredited USA Field Hockey coaches through our coaching education program. The Futures program consists of 27 hours of training from January through May that culminates in participation at the Regional Futures Tournament in May or June. From the Regional Futures Tournament, Futures athletes have the opportunity to advance to higher levels of play through selection to elite teams at the National Futures Championship. In 2011, the cost of the Futures program was $455.00 plus an additional USA Field Hockey membership fee.
For more information and to register for individual trials, go to http://usafieldhockey.com/futures/futures-trials .
