Regulators smash Kings
January 25, 2005 —
The 2005 Regulators won 93-64 vs the Fort Worth Kings the Regulators were led by 3rd year player John Thompson and 1st year big man David Johnson who had 16 points Johnson who came from Texas Wesleyan University after the 2004 season was third in the nation in block shots he was expected to be in the NBA but has a few things they thought he needed to work on to be a solid power forward he was playing center in college but at 6'10 he was told he would be a better fit at the forward position so he is working on parts of his game to get better and we are happy to have such talent on the roster remarked Tom Robinson team scout. The Regulators will take on the K-104 radio Allstars team on Friday February 4th at the Regulators home court downtown Fort Worth the game will be televised.
Regulators vs K-104
February 1, 2005 —
The Tarrant County Regulators will take on the K-104 Allstars Friday night February 4th at 7;30pm this will be a rematch of a game that the Regulators won in 2003.The Regulators only have one player left from that team this years team features a lot of young players average age on the team is 23 John Thompson is the oldest player at 31 on a 10 player roster. We have more players who can do more things than ever before and we feel if they stay within the system and themself's we should be able to play with any team we face coach Mason said.
Regulators ready for rival
February 23, 2005 —
This Friday February 25th the rivalry continues Dallas vs Fort Worth the Dallas Diesel come to town to take on the Regulators who have been rolling alone the one point win over K-104 was a hard fought game as they are a rival to the Regulators. The Diesel coming off a loss 98-93 will be looking to rebound the game will be televised as are most of the home games the Regulators play so it should be a good game.Regulators David Johnson has been on fire as of late he is scoring and rebounding .
Regulators run down by the Diesel
February 28, 2005 —
The Dallas Diesel defeated the Regulators giving them there first defeat of the season 80-57 on a night when the Regulators couldn't pay for a basket shots just would not fall said David Johnson who was expecting to have a big game he also had some harsh words for the Diesel who showed up late for the televised game we look for teams to play us hard everytime we hit the court but to show up late for a televised game that is not a good thing.Teams know when they come to play us at home we are televising the game you can't show up late when we are offering you a chance to be seen the rematch will be in a few weeks in Dallas and we will be on time even through they don't have TV coverage. The rematch will be on March 26th at the Diesel home court.
Price of Diesel slashed
March 26, 2005 —
In a big pre Easter battle the Regulators and Diesel went all out in what turn'ed out to be a closer game than it should have been the refs kept the game close for the Diesel as they made call after call aganist the Regulators who felt as if they were playing the Diesel team and the refs at times in the game. But they came away with the win as Brandon Paige had his best game of the season alone with David Johnson, and Kenneth Johnson.New team mate and point guard Robert Allen came through after Julian Johnson went down with a ankle problem the Regulators won to get back there only loss of the season which had went to the Diesel a few week's back the final was 100-95.
Regulators defeat Outlawz
March 31, 2005 —
After a fast start the Regulators slowed a bit in the Third period of the March 31st game with the Johnson County Outlawz hitting only two points for the period it allowed the Outlawz to get back into the game after being down 44-22 at the half they were able to get the lead down to 46-38 at the end of the period .But starting in the fourth the Regulators found there shooting touch again and put the game away led by Robert Allen and Kenneth Johnson the final was 69-58 next up will be the Hawks John Thompson who had a big second period for the Regulators said we can't have a period like that vs the Hawks they may be closer at the half and we just need to play better it wasn't like we were not trying the ball just wouldn't fall into the hoop but we take the win but not happy with the way we did it.We will see the Hawks on April 7th at home.
funkytown Hawks pull off upset
April 7, 2005 —
In what should have been a tough game and a win turn'ed into a loss and bad night for the Regulators Forward John Thompson did his part as he led the team with 17 points but no other Regulators player stepped up Kenneth Johnson had 16 but with guard Robert Allen going down early in the third with a hamstring the offense never found itself and the Hawks walked out of the Haws Athletic Center with a win coach Mason Bulkner said that we know teams come in here to play their best game and we have to some how be on our game every trip out even though it can't be done we still have ask our players to give everything they have and tonight we didn't get that.
Regulators down Frenzy
April 15, 2005 —
The Regulators rebound from the upset loss to the Hawks with a win 63-56 over a Frenzy team that came to play but ran out of gas so to speak in the second half as they got tired coach Mason Bulkner said we condition hard and the guys are starting to see why as in the second half of the game we took them out they were not able to shoot the jump shots from outside because of the tired legs.Brandon Newton who was the outside shooting threat of the Frenzy used to be on the Regulators team he could not get hot from the three point line and and didn't score and even when we very small they couldn't take advantage of it because we broke down their guards at the top and they couldn't get the ball in the box to there big man.We are looking forward to playing the Southwest Lightning of Oklahoma on Thursday we are sure they will bring a good challenge to our players.

Oklahoma wins
April 21, 2005 —
The Oklahoma Lightning came into the Regulators home turf and took them out the night was filled with layup after layup by the Lightning who was the first team this season to get the fastbreak going against the Regulators defense both teams shot under fifty percent from the field but those layups kept scoring for the Lightning as Regulator Kenneth Johnson had 25 points and Point guard Vincent McCown put 16 but no other Regulators player broke into double figures final 93-75 as a late rush by the Regulators who came from 16 down wasn't enough center /forward David Johnson 6'10 was suspended for the game and did not play for the Regulators coach Mason Buckner said he is going through something he wants to be a guard after playing nothing but center his entire college career and his dribbling skills are not his strength even though other parts of his game are solid so we will have to move on for the remaining part of our season without him tonight we just didn't have any outside shooting and our young guards couldn't stop thier season'ed guards from leading the break we cut the lead to 8 points with just over 3 minutes left but after 2 missed scoring chances on two trips down the floor that would have cut the lead down to 4 they were able to get baskets on break opportunities to push the lead back up to 13 and close us out but we will look for the next time we meet the fans will get into what will grow into a good game to have on the schedule.
Regulators MVP for 2005
May 22, 2005 —
Kenneth Johnson put big numbers for the Regulators this season his last game was 30 points but he started the season just averaging 6 per game but quickly stepped up to led the team in rebounding and scoring after the Regulators inside game play dropped off he play'ed the 3 guard position in the Regulators system as the team didn't have a true center even with 6'10 David Johnson in the lineup.Coaches Mason Bulkner and Tom Robinson said that without Kenneth this season it could have been a long season with so many young players on the roster Kenneth took it upon himself to be a leader in every way our 17-3 record is a statement for him it is the best record in the 3 year history of the team which has improved each year Head coach Will Williams has said we intend to have him back if we can't get him moved up because our 2006 schedule is very strong and we will need good solid players to improve on this season.

August 14, 2005 —
The Regulators will find out very quick where they are as a team in 2006 as the Oklahoma Lightning come to Fort Worth the last time the two teams met the Lightning ran away with a big win coach Tom Robinson said we will start off season workout's in September and we will be ready for the opener, the last time we faced them they were the only team last season to run on us for four quarters the up tempo style they play caught us short handed as we played that game with a few injuries and such but they are a good team so no excuses from us they just beat us but this game will be our first of the 2006 season so we will be ready and this is on TV so we better let our fans know we are ready for the 2006 season with this one.

We are looking to have a great 2006 season with added exposure so if a player is looking to have video this is the the place to play.

Regulators fall twice in Oklahoma
January 28, 2006 —
The team just didn't rise to the challenge as the Dallas Sun defeated them on Saturday January 27th in front of huge crowd the team then rebounded to defeat the OKC from Oklahoma we thought we have them focused said Tom Robinson but on Sunday January 28th the Oklahoma Pawnee took over the game in the second half as there power forward was just to much for any Regulators player to stop point guard Byron Tucker put 13 points on the board but none of the Regulators shot 50 persent from the field and when a team has a let down in that area you will not win said coach Mason Buckner.
