Congratulations FIRST PLACE Stingers!!!! 2009/2010/2011
April 23, 2011 – 10:56 PM April 23, 2011:
Congratulations to our FIRST PLACE Stingers! 2009/2010/2011

What a great season we had as a team. So many of you girls found that you actually CAN play softball!

Stingers Never Quit!!!

Enjoy your summer and see you next season!!!

April 21, 2011:
Congratulations to the returning Board of Directors of our league and welcome to Roger "Reggie" Duff, our new Secretary. I am sure that with his knowledge and list of contacts, the league is going to thrive in the 2011 - 2012 season. If you see them at the park, make sure you congratulate them for all the hard work that they do.

Speaking of hard work - we certainly have our work cut out for us but I am supremely confident that we will do our best (as always). That is the one thing that I have always asked all of our players - always come ready to do your best and then leave it on the field. I have not been disappointed in that regard. See you all tonight.

April 17, 2011:
COME VOTE FOR THE 2010/2011 LEAGUERETTES BOARD ON APRIL 20TH. PLEASE BE THERE - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO OUR LEAGUE.

A month after the last update, we are definitely going to be in the County tournament! I have said it time and time again, but I am so proud of each and every one of you. You have all come a very long way to get to this point and, sadly, there are many girls on other teams that will not get to experience what you do in a County tournament. On the plus side, we do have three practices a week now beginning next week instead of 2 games and 1 practice. So the schedule is pretty similar, just no games.

Parents:
I and the rest of the coaching staff could not have done this without your help in so many ways. From bringing snacks, keeping the books, keeping the scoreboard, and just always being there when we (and the girls) need you. I could not ask for a better all around team (yes - you are part of the team too!!!).

Remember, eat healthy, sleep well, dream of softball.

March 18, 2011:
It's been a while since I have had a chance to update this and I apologize for the delay. It has been a great month behind us! Brandon Mid-Season Tournament Champs!! Great games all around. Stay focused on each pitch and have fun!!

February 15, 2011:
You girls played a really good game today. I really appreciate your patience while batting. Good job fielding too. We are going to have a very busy practice on Thursday. Here is what we are going to work on so you can be ready:
1. Plays at home plate.
2. Hitting
3. Outfield plays to the infield
4. Infield plays

So you can see we are going to be very busy! Stay focus, stay positive, stay Stinger-ee!

February 12, 2011:
TEAMWORK - what does it mean? It means that everyone plays together and treats each other with respect and compassion. There should never be anyone on OUR team being mean or disrespectful to another teammate. Enough said. See you Tuesday.

February 10, 2011:
Another great game. It is so awesome to see you girls play. Even if you didn't have the ball hit to you once today or even if you didn't have a good at-bat, your heads were in it and it showed. I am SOOO proud! Stats will be updated tomorrow.

February 2, 2011:
You girls are doing a really great job out there! Remember to believe that you CAN do it!!!

January 23, 2011:
A note to parents:
I am at the field literally every day of the week but Sunday. I strongly encourage you to contact me about getting one on one practice for your child on the days we do not have games or practices scheduled. If you feel that they truly love the game and want to go above and beyond what we cover in practice, I am more than willing to help them with fielding, throwing, hitting, and learning to play their position better. There is NO CHARGE for this. In regards to Sundays, some Sundays are okay, but I do have committments twice a month on that day.

Okays ladies, here we go... Another great effort last game! I cannot begin to express how happy I am for all of you. Your great effort is really appreciated. There were so many good plays that game that I cannot list them all here and won't try. I am sure the other coaches and your parents are very proud of all of you.

I have entered in your stats so if you click on Teams/Rosters and go to the bottom of the page, you will see how you are doing so far. Remember that trying your best in practice and in games is all that we ask of each of you. Well, besides always having a good attitude.

See you all Tuesday!

If you have any concerns, questions, or comments, please talk to me after the practices and/or games.KEEP TRYING!!! :)

Check out our links and menu items to the left for additional learning.

Parents: I cannot stress enough practicing with your child at home throwing, catching and hitting whiffle balls. Often times these home practices are what allows the girls to "get it" when they come to the field. Please only do it if they want to, though.

See you on the field!

Coach Bryon
