April 20, 2011 — The Youngstown Steeler's are back. As many semi pro teams invaded the Mahoning Valley, the Steelers started it all. Chauncey Coleman founded the team in 2002. In each year of operation Mr. Coleman led his organization to four playoff appearances and two conference championships.

In 2010 The Youngstown Steelers captured The Grid Iron Football Alliance Championship. They went on to defeat the previously undefeated Rochester Renegages 20-14. This year they look to hold onto their championship as former league teams and new league teams are also eyeing The G.I.F.A Championship.
