Late Registration for 13-16 Leagues is only open until Nov. 12.
WHAT:
Lots of fun and great fundamentals of basketball for 7-16 year olds
WHO:
New players and experienced players welcome. Teams are set up to be balanced and competitive across the league.
WHERE:
7-8 CLINIC:
Sunday afternoons at Rodgers Forge Elementary School
Practice only early in the season, then combined practice and games later on
9-10, 11-12 & 13-16 LEAGUES:
One weeknight practice at Rodgers Forge Elementary or Dumbarton Middle School
Games on Saturdays at Bryn Mawr and Roland Park Country School
New 9-10 Travel Team:
Games on Sundays at Carver
Travel team play is offered to players whose skills and level of interest are more advanced. All players who try out for travel teams must be registered to play in-house.
To receive the schedule for travel team tryouts, email: kjfragetta@msn.com AFTER you complete the registration for in-house basketball.
The age determination for travel is different than in-house. It is based on your age as of 12/31/09. That means players with birthdates from 1/1/99 - 12/31/00 are eligible for the 9-10 travel team.
WHEN:
Registration is now officially closed but we are still accepting late registrations up until evaluations are completed
• Practices start the week of November 16
• Games start Dec. 12 for 9-16, Dec. 20 for 7-8
FEES:
7-8 Clinic $ 50
9-16 Leagues $ 80
REGISTRATION OPTIONS:
1. Email kjfragetta@msn.com to schedule an evaluation this weekend, Oct. 31 or Nov. 1. Register and pay with a check at evaluations.
2. Click on Online Forms on the left menu to register online today and pay with a credit card.
BREAKING NEWS:
This year brings some new faces and events. First, farewell and a huge thank you to Co-Commissioner Bob Buck, who was a large part of the re-growth of the girls basketball program over the last two years.
Second, a rousing welcome to the new Co-Commissioner, David Saunders. David coached his daughter Sydney’s team in the TRC 7-8 clinic last year. He is a former college basketball player at Wofford College and has coached kids at various age and experience levels in the past.
Five other parents, four of them past coaches, have agreed to take on additional roles within the program and will work with us on planning the season. Be on the lookout for new events as they are planned.
Finally, be assured that we plan to continue:
• Friday Night Open Gym for all players and their parents
• Events with the Towson University Women’s Basketball Team and Coach Joe Mathews
• End of Season Party
