San Diego Sol Memorial Day Tournament Champions!!

May 25, 2015

Tucson Dawgs conquer San Diego! Our 14u girls played a hard fought championship game beating the Cal Vipers 33-32 to win the 2015 San Diego Sol Memorial Day Tournament. The girls went 5-0 in the tournament defeating Aim High Elite Athletics (AZ), Anaheim Elite (CA), Bengalas Del Ciem (MX) and the host San Diego Sol (CA) team.  GO DAWGS!

Holiday Ball Out Champs

We were told of this tournament at 10:30 am on Saturday December 27th. After some quick organization we were on the road at 4pm trying to make a 6pm game time on the same day. We only had 6 girls due to the short notice and had to cram a bunch of them into a small room overnight. Well two days later we came back with the championship trophy and a ton of memories. Great Job ladies!

The advantage of playing with the little guys............

What do you get when you join a large basketball club team organization?

1) A general lack of personal attention to your child.

2) A scarcity of knowlegable coaches at every level and team.

3) A general feeling of being lost in the crowd.

The Tucson Dawgs orginization offers hands on knowledgable instruction from a certified NFHS basketball coach and a family atmosphere that you just can't get from large club organizations.

We are currently looking for a few more players for our girl's divisions. If you know of someone that would like to start playing please contact us using the tabs on the left. Don't worry about how "good" the child is, we are looking to help anyone that wants to improve. Go Dawgs!!!

Boy's & Girl's Club Champions

The 14u girls added to their trophy collection with a 9 point win over the Tucson Spartans to claim first place in the Frank and Edith Morton Boy's and Girl's Club Middle School League. Sophia Shivers hit 3 big shots from beyond the arc, two of them in the 3rd quarter as our girls played their usual awesome defense. We had 12 steals and 6 blocks as a team even though league rules prohibit us from playing defense beyond the halfcourt line till the last two minutes of each half. Great game ladies!!

Congrats to our middle school girls team on winning the Queen of the Quartz tournament this weekend! The girls also had the co-MVP's of the tournament in Aaliyah Ortiz and Arianna Contreras.
