Monthly Board Meeting
The Tyngsboro Youth Football & Cheerleading monthly board meetings are on the 2nd Monday of the month - Time and Location TBA. If you would like to come and/or have an item to add to the agenda, please make sure you e-mail: wroderick@segue-mfg.com and Ginnyofma@aol.com. That way we can let you know the exact time and location. Also we will need to add your topic to the agenda.
GOT PICTURES?
We need your CANDID and ACTION shots of your team, player or cheerleader! We will use them on the website and in our end-of-year Banquet slide-show. Please make sure that you send the pictures to both of the e-mail addresses above. Because we receive many, we do ask that you only send 10 over at a time..pick your BEST shots. Close-ups are always appreciated more and EVERYONE really loves the candids. If you have a camera with a telephoto lens and capture some close-up Action shots....please send them our way! We do rely on our families to provide us with all the pictures for the Banquet slide-show..so make sure your team and child are well represented and send us some shots.
RULES: In order for us to use them on the website, you must send us your pictures as .jpeg attachments OR the easiest way is to put them on a CD that we can download right onto our computer. If you choose to e-mail, we cannot remove embedded pictures from the body of an e-mail or from pictures sites like snapfish. Also...you need to re-name EACH picture that you send. (You just right-click on the name of the picture, hit re-name and type in your new name.) For example if I am sending (3) pictures over from the Jr. Pee Wee game on 9/5, then you could use something like this: ButlerSEPT5JPW1.jpg , ButlerSEPT5JPW2.jpg and ButlerSEPT5JPW3.jpg. That way I can identify who took the picture, from what game and what team and what number picture it is. You cannot use any SYMBOLS like a # sign or a slash in the name of a picture that you send because of HTML code on the website will prevent it from appearing..so make sure you just use numbers and letters in your name. This sounds more confusing then it is..so if you have any Questions...just send me an e-mail today: Ginnyofma@aol.com Thanks everyone!!

“Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Leaders”
--American Youth Football
2005 brought us the start of a much needed youth football & cheering program in the town of Tyngsboro. The Tyngsboro Youth Football & Cheerleading (TYFC) program had a very successful inaugural season. Our 4 football/cheer teams showed true enthusiasm, sportsmanship, teamwork and dedication.
On August 1st, 2006 a new season of youth football and cheerleading began in Tyngsboro under a new national league, the NFL-endorsed American Youth Football (AYF) organization ( www.americanyouthfootball.com ). Our league expanded to 6 football teams and 5 cheering teams. Our Jr. Midget cheerleaders made it as far as the regionals in Tyngsboro's very first year ever in competitive cheerleading. Our Jr. Pee Wee Red Football team advanced to our conferences playoffs.
TYFC completed it's 2007 (third) season with 6 football and cheerleading teams. The Jr. Midget football team coached by Mike Flanagan made it into the first round of the AYF, Central Mass conference play-off's. The Jr. Midget Cheerleading team advanced to the American Youth Cheeleading National competition in Florida and brought home a 3rd place trophy!
History was made in the 2008 Season, TYFC's 4th, with all of our eligible football teams making it to round 2 of the Central Mass conference play-offs! Our Senior Mites and Pee Wee teams advanced to the Super Bowl and the Sr. Mites won their Division Super Bowl Title! Our two eligible cheer teams also advanced to Regional competition in Rhode Island and made us very proud! In only 4 short years we have witnessed the beginnings of some new Tyngsboro pride and traditions! Planning is already underway and some exciting changes are in store as we enter our 5th Season (2009) as an organization!
American Youth Football, Inc., established in 1996, is an international youth football organization established to promote the wholesome development of youth through their association with adult leaders in the sport of American football. Rules and regulations are established to ensure that players play in an atmosphere of safety with a competitive balance between teams. American Youth Football is on a mission to GIVE BACK to the community. The NFL recognizes this firm commitment and AYF has been made a national youth partner of the National Football League. TYFC has become a member of the Central Mass Youth Football & Cheering Conference (CMYFCC) http://www.cmayfc.com/
Our goal here in the TYFC organization is to provide our boys and girls the opportunity to learn team work through competition; promote good sportsmanship; maintain good grades in school; and above all, have fun. Please be sure to visit all of our web pages for more information on our program. Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions wroderick@segue-mfg.com and/or Ginnyofma@aol.com.
