Tyngsboro Youth Football & Cheer

We are happy to formally announce open registration for our 7th annual football and cheer mini-camp!   We have changed up the schedule a bit for this year to (hopefully) avoid most conflicts with Spring sports.

DATES:    Sunday, June 8 (4:00-6:00 p.m.) AND Monday, June 9 (6:00-8:00 p.m.)
WHERE:  Tyngsboro Elementary School - (Football - Bicentennial Field, Cheer - TES Gym)
COST:     $30 per participant -- includes participation on BOTH days and a commemorative t-shirt*

Register ONLINE NOW and reserve your spot.   Or you may fill out the 2014 Mini-Camp Registration Form and submit a check or money order via mail.  This is a great way for our alumni football players and cheerleaders to reunite in a pre-season clinic/showcase.  Also, be sure to encourage your friends to join us -- if they're on the fence about registering, this is the best way for them to "check the fit before they commit".

If you are interested in volunteering for our mini-camp, please send an email to our Registrar

* Registrations must be received by May 18 in order to guarantee a t-shirt.

TYFC would like to thank Dick's Sporting Goods for their sponsorship of our 2014 Mini-Camp.  We are grateful for their support and generosity.

We are excited to formally announce that our regular season registration is now OPEN to ALL Tyngsboro and non-Tyngsboro residents.  Please note our key registration deadlines as follows:

April 16 - June 10:  Open Registration

June 11 - July 31:   1st Period Late Registration - $25 late fee per participant incurred

August 1 - August 11:   2nd Period Late Registration - $50 late fee per participant incurred

Register ONLINE NOW and reserve your spot.  Or you may fill out the 2014 Football and Cheer Season Mail-In Registration Form and submit with a check or money order via mail.

We realize that football and cheer seem so far away on the calendar, but it will be here before you know it!!
Before you go away on your Spring and Summer vacations, please consider getting your regular season and mini-camp registrations submitted!
Thank you all for your continued support of TYFC!

Jackson Roderick (left/with Trophy) Kyle Corkum (right) @ the AYF Central Mass All - Star game in Florida where the boys earned the #3 spot.

TYFC is very proud of both of you!!

A few words from Jackson Roderick about his experience:

One thing that changed my life was going down to Florida and playing football in December. One year ago I tried out for the Central Mass all star football team and didn’t make it. This year I had the opportunity to try out for the same team again. After a 4 hour try out that was truly exhausting and had its ups and downs and many days of waiting, I found out that I had made the team. I was so excited. To know that last year I didn’t make the team and then this year make it was validation that I have grown as a football player. To know that I would be going to Florida and playing football was the greatest but at the same time I was nervous. Meeting all my new teammates took a little time but we gradually became one team. After a long month of three hour practices in the cold for three days a week it was time. Time to go down to Florida. Being on the plane with all my new friends was fun and I really enjoyed that. Our first game was going to be the game that we figured out what caliber team we were. It ended with us winning the game in overtime that showed that we belonged playing against anybody. At the end of the tournament we placed 3rd out of 12 teams throughout the country. We were so proud of ourselves. The practices paid off big time in the end. The worst part about the whole experience was that we had to leave each other. Since our flight home got cancelled half the team was going home one day and the other half the next day. Throughout the whole experience I truly believe that we became true friends and will never forget that trip. That trip really did change my life in a lot of ways.

Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports

To help ensure the health and safety of our young athletes, CDC developed the Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports initiative to offer information about concussions to coaches, parents, and athletes involved in youth sports. The Heads Up initiative provides important information on preventing, recognizing, and responding to a concussion. Please click the link below to view the tutorial & educate yourself.
