All UCYSL/UC Premier teams, and families are expected to come celebrate the 35th Annual Fall Soccer Opening Day Event on Saturday April 20th at Delaine Eastin Elementary School (34901 Eastin Dr. Union City, CA). All UCYSL/UC Premier teams must represent by wearing their UCYSL and UC Premier uniforms. Please bring your team banner if available. Parents are encouraged to wear UCYSL/UC Premier colors (red & black) and apparel.
Teams and parents are to arrive at Delaine Eastin Elementary School (field area) at 7:30am. Coaches and players are to find their team numbers on small flags that will be posted on the field. All teams must be staged at their team number flag prior to 8:00am.
The UCYSL Opening Day Team Parade is a long-standing tradition in Union City, since the start of the league in1977. The traditional team parade and "first Kick" with city and school officials marks the start of the fall youth soccer season in Union City. Team fundraising food and game booths will be present and of course, soccer matches will be played throughout the day.
OPENING DAY SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
7:30am: All teams arrive and are organized in designated team area.
8:00am: National Anthem
8:05am: Designated parent reads "Parents Pledge" and Designated Coach reads "Coach Pledge" Designated Player reads “Player Pledge"
8:15am: UCYSL/UC Premier Team Parade begins
9:30am: Inaugural First Kick with City and School officials and youngest/oldest UCYSL players.
10:00am- 4:00pm: Soccer Matches
10:00am- 3:00pm: Fundraising booths
