14th Annual Unionville Ladies Golf Tournament
ULG 2012 Registration Form
Ladies, young & old, novice & experienced, you are all invited to join us for the 14th Annual Unionville Ladies Golf Tournament being held at Sleepy Hollow Golf & Country Club on Monday July 16th 2012. This is a 4- woman scramble format CHARITY tournament. All proceeds will be going to Markham Stouffville Breast Healt Centre. Over the past 13 years we have raised over $225,000 for this worthy cause. The cost is $140 per golfer or $75 for dinner only. Beth Ambrose was a member of our league, who spent countless hours working for our league to make it a great place to play. After her passing from Cancer, this award was donated to the league, by her husband Gord, to honour her spirit and committment to our league. Of all the awards we hand out, this is the most important, as it goes to the woman who demonstrates Beth's spirit and drive to keep our league running and be a great place to play.

Gwen Turner - MVP Award
The Gwen Turner - MVP award, was donated by Gwen Turner to the league in 1989 to celebrate the most valuable player, on and off the field. The recipient is a woman who excels at playing, but also is a team player and exhibits good sportsmanship as well.

Lou Layton Memorial Play Off Champions
Some History on the Lou Layton memorial trophy.
Lou played in the ball league back in the early seventies and use to own the Laundromat in the Varley Village plaza. She was married with 2 children. April, 1974, Lou was killed in a tragic car accident, during a freak April snowstorm, on Kennedy Road when her car hit the train bridge at 14th Avenue. The league wanted to do something to remember her, and they came up with the idea of a memorial trophy. She was a fabulous lady, full of life, very involved with the community and loved the ladies Softball League. We continue to honour her each year, by handing her memorial trophy to the Play Off Champions.

Registration is complete, but we are still accepting applicants to the league.
