2009 FOOTBALL & CHEER PICTURE DAY
When: NEW DATE - Sunday, October 17th
Location: Venus Football Stadium
Times will differ for each team.
NEW Times will be annouced soon.
Please be dressed and ready for pictures at your allotted time. Individual pictures will be taken first.
You will received a FREE photo button of your child just for viewing your pictures. **NO OBLIGATION to purchase at that time! You have the option of viewing your childs pictures and purchasing them at a later time.
HOMECOMING RAFFLE FOR KING & QUEEN
Parents -
This year we thought we would do something different for homecoming. This year we're selling raffle tickets for $1.00. Those kids that sell the most out of each age division will be crowned Homecoming King and Queen. This is not a mandatory raffle and strictly voluntary. There will be a CASH prize drawing during the Senior game on October 3rd.

*Deadline to have tickets turned in will be September 28th at the concession stand at Fielder Park.
HOMECOMING PARADE, SEPTEMBER 30TH ALL VYSA TEAMS AND CHEER TO PARTICIPATE
Coaches & parents, we're asking that each football team and cheer team do a float for the parade. The theme is set by the student council at the high school and this years them is "Bulldogs Go Hollywood".
If your team doesn't chooses not to participate, that is fine, just let the Director know.
The VYSA will reimburse each team $50 for any decorations purchased for your team float. Please turn in all receipts in order to get reimbursed to the Head Coach or your team mom.
2009 Season begins August 29th for Seniors and September 5th for Freshmen and Juniors.
**IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL PARENTS.**
This is just a reminder to parents that still owe outstanding dues that you will need to pay your balance in full in order to receive your child’s uniform. If you’re able to pay at the time uniforms are being distributed, please contact Chad Sutton at 972-880-8145 or email csutton809@gmail.com .

Age requirements to play VYSA Football:
- Must be 6 years old on or before September 1st, no exceptions!
Cheer Practices will start Monday, August 3rd at 6 pm.

Bulldog Stadium Information
**STADIUM RULES WHEN ATTENDING GAMES**
- NO SMOKING ALLOWED -
- NO PETS ALLOWED-
- PARENTS STAY OFF THE TRACK & SIDELINES-
- NO PROFANITY ALLOWED IN OR AROUND THE STANDS -
If anyone is caught violating any of the above, you will be warned or asked to leave immediately. If you do not comply, board security will contact the Venus Police Department.
DIVISIONS
Shall consist of Senior, Junior, and Freshman Divisions.
Senior Ages 11-13, as of August 30th and not in the 7th grade.
Senior Division teams shall meet the following requirements:
(A) Each player must be in the 5th and 6th grades and not 13 years old before September 1st in the year in current season. No seventh (7th) grade players.
(B) Players in the 4th grade may play in the Senior Division, if there is not a Junior team, and with parents and coaches written permission. This must be submitted for approval by association town representatives as a Special Consideration.
Junior Division teams shall meet the following requirements:
(A) Each player must be in the 3rd and 4th grades and not 11 years old before September 1st in the year in current season. No fifth (5th) grade players.
(B) Players in the 2nd grade may play in the Junior Division, if there is not a freshman team, and with parents and coaches written permission. This must be submitted for approval by association town representatives as a Special Consideration.
Freshman Division teams shall meet the following requirements:
(A) Each player must be in the 1st and 2nd grades and not 9 years old before September 1st in the year in current season. No third (3rd) grade players.
(B) Kindergartners may play in freshman divisions with parents and coaches permission. (VYSA requires the child be 6 years old before September 1st.)
