Varsity Makes Chicago Public League Final Four 2011
Congratulations to our Varsity team who reached the Final Four for the FIRST TIME IN VON STEUBEN PANTHER BASEBALL HISTORY by beating Whitney Young 7 to 6 !!!! The winning pitcher was Johnny Negron, and our offensive hero's were Jacob Pagan who went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI's, and Joey Plaud going 1 for 3 with 2 RBI's. The next game will be at UIC on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 4:00p.m., where our team will face Simeon Vocational. The second game will also be played at UIC where Clemente will face Harlan. The winners of these two games will play for the City Championships at US Cellular Field. Updates will be posted as they become available.
