Vandals Hit Break In Stride at 7-3
May 9, 2012 The Victor Valley Vandals started the year on a sour note, losing the opener to their rival Diablos 12-5.

The Vandals rebounded in games two and three thanks in part to the arms of Chico Garcia and Al Schardt.

A devastating loss to the Toros didnt put the Vandals down. In this game, the Vandals held a 7-3 lead after six innings, but the Vandal defense fell apart committing a variety of errors and allowing the Toros to come back, scoring 14 unanswered runs for the victory.

The Vandals showed their drive, ten running the Greens in the following game courtesy of the long balls of Lee Logsdon, Jarrod Sinclair and Josh Halterman.

Orangemen gave the Vandals a run for their money. The Vandals took the early lead in this game on a very windy day at Westwinds, but the Orangemen picked the Vandals apart, piece by piece, coming within one run in the bottom of the 9th. Lee Logsdon continued his torrid hitting, smacking THREE home runs in this game.

The Vandals ran their winning streak to four games before meeting up with the Diablos again. The Diablos shocked the Vandals during this game only squeaking out four hits in the 6-0 loss.

The Vandals faced off against the Greens in the last game of the first half . The Greens showed a lot more fight than their 1 win season showed to date. As a matter of fact, the Greens held the lead three different times in this game, but the Vandals prevailed after Jaime Gonzalez cleared the bases which were loaded with a two out double in the top of the 9th.

The Vandals return from the break against the High Desert Angels on 06/03/2012 at 9am at Westwinds Sports Complex.
