An acronym we came up with that describes what the girls need to have in every game.
Focus - Responsibility - Energy - Communication
Fall 2009
North Shore Strikers 5 Wantagh Seaford 0
This team is still fairly new and growing. To that end, we are going to have games like today. We have to shake it off and move on.
Regardles of the score - I did see some promising things from our girls too.
Valley Stream Shamrocks 2 - Wantagh Seaford 0
We played a very good first half - excellent passing and ball control. We had numerous opportunities on goal. We need to work hard the entire game!
Wantagh Seaford 1 - Rockville Center 1
We got off to a slow start but played much better in the second half. We started to control the ball better and put pressure on their defense. Nice job coming back and tying the game. Great through ball from Victoria to Nicole.
Well Done!
Wantagh Seaford 1 Garden City 0
This was a well played game. All of the girls used skill and high eneergy to overtake a tough Garden City team. Great work!
Oceanside Speed 5 Wantagh Seaford 0
Rough one this weekend. We will work hard and look to bounce back next weekend.
Wantagh Seaford 0 - Jericho Crew 0
A well played game against a good team. The girls fought hard and looked great. Keep it up!
Wantagh Seaford 2 Hicksville 1
Great game by all of the girls. We are back on track! Goals by Sam and Nicole paved the way for the win.
Floral Park 5 Wantagh Seaford 1
The game started nicely for the Explosion with an early goal by Nicole assisted by a great pass from Sam. However, the game became difficult and things did not go our way. We will bounce back - we always do.

Spring 2009
Wantagh Seaford 1 - Lynbrook E. Rockaway 0
Great Game! Sam scored the only goal on an excellent left foot shot in the first half. Our solid defense today made that goal stand up as we produced another shut out. (8th shut out this season).
Winning this game clinched 1st place. Congratulations!
Wantagh Seaford 3 - Great Neck 0
Another Shut Out! An excellent display of skill and technique. Great passing and ball control. Once again - the defense comes up with a big game.
Wantagh Seaford 5 - Oyster Bay 2
Under manned - over sized heart! Playing without subs the girls worked hard to give us a very important win. Great Job girls!
Wantagh Seaford 2 - Port Washington 2
This game was a physical battle from start to finish. The Explosion responded well by playing hard to the finish. A great come back for the tie. GOOD GAME!
Wantagh Seaford 3 - Oceanside 1
Great come from behind win. Good teams win games - great teams come from behind to win games. We played great today - every single girl. All of the coaches and parents are extremely proud.
Wantagh Seaford 2 - Jericho 0
Another shoutout! An all around solid game by everyone. 2 Nice passes for an assist each by Sara and Kim set up Michele for 2 goals. Way to go girls!
Wantagh Seaford 6 - Manhasset 0
The Explosion looked like a well-oiled machine. Excellent play by everyone - some really nice moves in the field. We are the only team yet to yield a goal in GU11 girls - Nassau. Let's keep it up an see how long we can go before we give up a goal.
Wantagh Seaford 5 - Oyster Bay 0
Great game! A wonderful display of offense. Girls were in good position when attacking the goal and very unselfish passing. At least 3 goals scored from cross passes in front of the goal. Well done!
Wantagh Seaford 3 - Lynbrook/East Rockaway 0
The Explosion played great! They were extremely focused and determined. The defense was brilliant and the ball control and agressiveness was amazing. They passed well and switched the field often. Truly dominating.
Wantagh Seaford 0 - Great Neck 0
After a very slow start, we turned it up and played Great Neck to a tie. We had some shot opportunities, unfortunately they didn't go in the goal. We were lucky to come out with a tie - it could have been worse. Preparing properly before a game is very important! We'll get'em next time.
Wantagh Seaford 3 Port Washington 0
Great game by the Explosion. Awesome passing (nice cross pass from Nicole to Kim for a goal & Michele to Grace for one of her 2 goals). Good ball control and great defense.
