2011 Intercity League Watertown Reds
REDS DIAMOND NOTES:
SUNDAY OCTOBER 23rd: The Watertown Reds are proud to announce that the staff ace, Brian Casey, has been named one of three Intercity League Pitchers of the Year for 2012. Brian will recieve his award at the annual Intercity League Awards & Reunion Dinner to be held at Montvale Plaza on Saturday November 12th. His 2012 season statistics will be posted shortly along with the updated Reds Almanac and All-Time Records.
TUESDAY AUGUST 16th: The Watertown Reds bowed out of the Intercity League Playoffs on Saturday afternoon after a grueling 3-2 loss at the hands of the Andre Chiefs in a game that went 9 innings and saw both teams with multiple chances to take home the win. It was the Chiefs who took home the game and the series, 2 games to 1, in the bottom of the 9th.
The Reds lost Game 2 of the series on Friday night at Bentley University by the same score, 3-2. 2011 marked the teams 5th playoff apperance in the last 7 seasons played, including Finals appearance in 2006 and 2010.
