Tom Ott said it best and I “quote”
"Every journey has a beginning& ending.
The 2015 West End 13 -1 5 team made a town very proud. You played w/heart, passion and a “Never give up” attitude. You were District, State and Regional Champs and 3rd place in the country! You made an everlasting impression on the “host families” there in Lawrenceburg, Tn. And have memories that will last long after the scoreboard turns off.”

Middle Atlantic Region Babe Ruth Hall of Famers
JIM and BONNIE WINDER
Inducted into MAR Hall of Fame
WILLIAMSPORT, PA …The Middle Atlantic Region of Babe Ruth Baseball honored two of its finest volunteers recently at Logue Field in the West End Babe Ruth Complex. Between games of the 14 Year-Old Middle Atlantic Region Tournament, Jim and Bonnie Winder were inducted as the newest members of the Babe Ruth League Middle Atlantic Region Hall of Fame. They are the first husband and wife team to enter the Hall.
The Winders are each completing their 34th year of service to the youth of the area. Over the years, the Winders have served in various capacities; President, Secretary, Treasurer, Manager, Coach, Scorekeeper, Refreshment Stand, fundraising, etc. Said Ron Zimmerman, Pennsylvania State Commissioner, “Their dedication is unparalleled."
Jim Winder has served as League President for the West End Babe Ruth League for 27 years. For the last 15 years, has also served as Babe Ruth League Pennsylvania District Commissioner for the area. Among multiple other responsibilities, Bonnie Winder has served as Secretary and Treasurer for the organization and can be seen almost daily in the Concession Stand and coordinating the efforts of various volunteers. Under their guidance, West End Babe Ruth League has hosted many very successful Babe Ruth League Tournaments, including District, State, and Regional Tournaments. This includes the 2014 Middle Atlantic Region 14 Year-Old Tournament this year.
In 2003, the Winders were inducted into the Babe Ruth League Pennsylvania State Hall of Fame.
A BIG Thank You goes out to Jim and Bonnie Winder for their tireless commitment to the league. From the organizing of the league year to year, concession stand, and field preparation, to the weather, and the state/regional tournaments held each year, your efforts are greatly appreciated. West End has 2 of the most amazing people running it! We are truly blessed to have Jim and Bonnie Winder!
