West End to host 2 State Tournaments
Babe Ruth Leagues in Pennsylvania have shown no interest in hosting the 15 year old Pa. State Tournament for 2015. Therefore West End will now be hosting both the 14 year old state tournament and the 15 year old state tournament.
This is a major undertaking by the league and we will be needing lots of volunteer help.
The 15 year old tournament will run from July 11 -July 18 2015
The 14 year old tournament will run fron July 19 - July 23 2015
Tournament Sponsorship/Program Advertising
West End Babe Ruth Baseball has been selected to host the 14 year old Pennsylvania State Championship Tournament. The tournament will be held from July 18 - July 23, 2015.
West End Babe Ruth Baseball will also be hosting the 15 year oldPennsylvania State Championship Tournament. The tournament will run from July 11 - July 17, 2015
West End is looking for businesses, organizations, and individuals who would like to be a sponsor of the tournament and/or place an advertisement in the tournament program. The sponsorship donations and program advertising fees will be used to help defray the costs of holding the state tournament and serve as a fundraiser for West End Babe Ruth Baseball league so that we can continue to maintain and improve our playing fields for the youth of our communities in Lycoming and surrounding counties.
Please check out the Handouts tab on the left to find the Sponsorship form and Program Advertising form. Please consider being a sponsor of the Pennsylvania State Championship Tournament and helping West End Babe Ruth to continue to provide exceptional facilities for our players and guests. Thank you for your support!
Work Day at Logue Field
Sundays Work day at Logue was amazing. A big thank you to Williamsport Millionaire Baseball for this combined effort. There were 45 coaches, players, moms, dads, college students and league officials present on a very cold and windy day. The Sod work that was completed is sweet. Concession stand, bathrooms, dugouts, press box, storage room and team room are spotless.
New Practice Infield Started
Old Lycoming Township approved our new practice infield. It will be located on West Cottage Ave just off Lycoming Creek Rd. near the former Robert Hall Village. This new facility will include a full size infield, a batting cage and practice pitching mounds. Grading work under way.

West End HISTORY Made
In 2012, West End Babe Ruth Baseball won all 3 District Titles earning this accomplishment back to back years! Even more impressive is that West End made State History. For only the 2nd time in Pennsylvania State History, a league put all 3 Age groups into the State Final Four. West End's 13 yr olds lost in the State Championship to Pottsville, the 14 yr olds lost in the State Championship to Bensalem, while the 15 yr olds lost in the State SemiFinals to Valley. West End joins Mifflin County as the only 2 leagues in Pennsylvania history to put all 3 Age Groups in the Pennsylvania State Final Four!
