NEWS & VIEWS FROM THE WESTERN FOOTBALL NEWS!

PROFESSIONAL UNITED STATES FOOTBALL LEAGUE WILL RETURN IN MARCH 2013
Back in the 1960s, a new spring professional football league was formed called the United States Football League. Major league cities were involved, some that had NFL teams, and others looking for a pro team. The new league started signing former NFL players, college graduates, etc. They also got a major television network to brodcast the games. The league was successful until Donald Trump bought the NY Generals franchise and convinced the other owners to move to the fall season which resulted in the league going broke. Now its making a come back, but this time in smaller cities that don't have a NFL team, and the new owners say it will be a developmental league only. They plan to kick off in 2012.
