2012 SPRING REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
November 21, 2011 – 12:00 PM —
The Westfield Baseball League is
committed to serving the youth of Westfield in providing a positive and
instructional environment and an appreciation for the game of baseball.
WBL
sponsors instructional and competitive leagues from Kindergarten to
Tenth grade. Children will be assigned to Leagues based on their current
grade.

be advised, to satisfy Town of Westfield User Fee Ordinance (Section
16-28), registration fees now include an additional $10 user fee per
child, per season, per sport as required by Town ordinance. All such
fees will be collected by the WBL on behalf of the Town of Westfield and
turned over in their entirety to the Town of Westfield as required by
law. |
| Late registration are not guaranteed placement on teams or special requests. Spring registration will end January 31, 2012. |
| Family limit for 2012 is $300 for on-line registration. |

2012 Bat Regulations - Mandated by Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth
November 21, 2011 —
IMPORTANT!!! Due to changes in bat regulations, many bats that you currently own will NOT be eligible for use for the 2012 season. New bat regulations that MUST be enforced for the 2012 season are as follows:
CAL
RIPKEN BASEBALL DIVISION
The bat may not exceed
33”in length, and the bat barrel may not exceed 2 ¼” in diameter. Only
2 ¼” barrel non-wood bats marked BPF 1.15 will be allowed. Wood 2 ¼”
barrel bats are allowed.

BASEBALL DIVISION
The bat may not exceed
34” in length, and the bat barrel may not exceed 2 5/8” in diameter.
All aluminum/alloy barrel bats and all composite handle (only)
aluminum/alloy barrels are allowed. Only composite barrel bats
certified and marked BBCOR .50 will be allowed. Wood barrel bats
conforming to the specifications of Official Baseball Rule 1.10 are
allowed.
16-18
BASEBALL DIVISION
The bat may not exceed
34” in length and the bat barrel many not exceed 2 5/8” in diameter or
be greater than a -3 length to weight ratio. Only composite bats
certified and marked BBCOR .50 are allowed. Wood barrel bats conforming
to the specifications of Official Baseball Rule 1.10 are allowed.
