2017 Season Rewiew

The 2017 was a bit of a down year for the Wolves, which ended with a 15-7 league record and a loss to the Prescott Pirates in the 2 round of regional play at Rib Lake. The Wolves lost a lot of close ball games this year and at times just couldn't get the timely hit when needed.

The Wolves were lead on the pitching staff by Alex Byom finishing with 68.1 IP and finishing with an ERA of 1.05 and 90 K's. Also contributing quality innings was veteran Scott Hovell ( 30 IP, 3.33 ERA, 42 K's), Zach Pronshinske ( 28.1 IP, 4.45 ERA, 31 K's) and rookie Blake Thiesse (8.2 IP, 3.1 ERA, 12 K's).

The Offensive attack was lead by catcher Max Ferguson ( .370 BA, 27 H, 15 R, 3 3B, 15 RBI), Scott Hovell ( .314 BA, 22 H, 15 R, 3 HR, 13 RBI), Alex Byom and Trent VonDrasek also had 2 HR to help lead the offensive.

The Wolves now look forward to the 2018 campaign with a great core of veteran players returning and a nice crop of young players continuing to make an impact as we look to return to the top of the CRBL and make a push toward the WBA State finals.
