CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WHITE TEAM FOR BEING OUR FIRST ANNUAL POWDER PUFF CHAMPIONS!!! IT WAS A GREAT GAME ALL THE WAY TO THE END. RED TEAM YOU DID A GREAT JOB, YOU NEVER GAVE UP. MVP TROPHY WENT TO JANET NAVA. FINAL SCORE WHITE 20 AND RED 14. I ALSO WANT TO SAY THANK YOU TO ALL STUDENTS WHO PARTICIPATED IN THIS YEARS POWDER PUFF. Domestic violence cuts across all boundaries of culture, education, ethnicity, religion, income and age. Battering may be physical, sexual, psychological or emotional. It is always harmful. Established in 1982, Shelter's Right Hand is the non-profit fundraising support group for the Women's and Children's Crisis Shelter, which has been serving victims of domestic violence since 1977. We raise funds through these avenues:

Whittier hires Visko Ancich as its new football coach
Whittier High School announced that Visko Ancich has been selected the Cardinal’s new head football coach. Ancich has 15 years of experience as a football coach and grew up immersed in the sport. Ancich has also taught chemistry at California High School for eight years.
“Visko Ancich comes to us with a wealth of experience as a highly respected science teacher in our district as well as a successful coaching history,” said Lori Eshilian, Principal of Whittier High School. “He is a talented teacher and coach who will help us continue to build upon our strong culture of family here at Whittier High School and in the community.”
“I am proud to be joining the Whittier High School family and community and look forward to being a part of the Whittier team for many years,” Ancich said.” I’m eager to start working with Whittier High’s hard-working and talented students and athletes and I feel honored that I will continue to serve as an educator in our district.”
