WHAT IS WINFIELD IN ACTION?
Winfield in Action is an all volunteer, not-for-profit organization that provides baseball, softball, and soccer for the children in Winfield and the surrounding area. Last year we had approximately 1,600 children participate in our programs. Our members range from 4 to 16 years of age. For the more competitive children we also provide "Travel League Teams" in both our baseball and softball programs.
We are not a part of the Winfield Park District, although we work closely together to provide the highest quality environment for our members. For more information on our programs, please click on the LEAGUE CONTACT button, and contact any of the WIA Board Of Directors.
Need to Know for 2010
Baseball and softball practices begin in April and the regular season generally runs from the end of April through the beginning of July. Program and organization information will be available at all registrations. Members of the Winfield In Action Board of Directors will be present at the registrations to answer questions.
~~~~~~~~~~~NEW THIS YEAR ~~~~~~~~~~~
WIA has online registration. At this time, online registration is ONLY available to existing WIA members. If you are a new family, you will need to attend one of the in-person registration dates listed below. New families must be sure to bring birth certificates for your child/children. If you are an existing WIA family but you are registering a new child to play in baseball or softball then you should register ALL children online but then you will be required to show or send the new child's birth certificate before that child's registration will be activated.
Online registration begins at www.winfieldinaction.org on Saturday, January 2, 2010.
February 6, 2010 is the final date to register in person or online. A late fee of $20 per family will be charged after this date. A spot on the roster will not be guaranteed after February 6, 2010.
