Meet Our Cheer Cubs Coach

Erin Heiserman: Cub coach:

Cheerleading was a huge part of my childhood, having started cheering at Lincoln Junior High and then JP McCaskey HS where my husband who is the D team football coach was the quarterback. I was an NCA All-American cheerleader for 2 years and was a member of the 1st All-County All Star team in 1993. I cheered for the Central Penn Piranha Semi-Pro football team throughout college while I coached various teams, including a team for at risk youth. I’m currently in my 19th year as a Juvenile Probation Officer and this is my 2nd year coaching the Wolverine Cubs. I love being the coach who introduces our youngest Wolverines to the sport of cheerleading!

Meet our D Team Football Coach

Les Heiserman: D Team Football Coach:

I first played football for the midget program for St. Joseph’s (in Lancaster City) before playing quarterback at Wheatland Junior High, JP McCaskey High School from 1990-1993 and the Central Penn Piranha Semi-Pro team from 1995-1998. This is my third year coaching the Willow Street Wolverine D team. I started coaching because I love the game and I’m too old to play anymore. My philosophy for this age group is KEEP IT FUN! I’ve learned that when the kids are enjoying themselves, they are more engaged and more productive. Football is a very complex and intimidating sport for any first timer. That being said, I keep practices moving with a lot of fun drills that develop their skills without it feeling like work.
