Welcome to the home of the
Wilson Tigers Baseball Program

A preliminary schedule for the Wilson Varsity Spring 2010 season has been posted. The schedule features games against four WCAC schools, including Gonzaga and Dematha, as well as Northwest DC rivals St. Albans and Maret, among many others. It should be a great season of Tiger baseball! DCIAA games have not yet been scheduled and will be added at a later date.
Winter conditioning workouts will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school starting December 1. Anyone interested in playing baseball in the spring is invited to participate. Meet in the gym lobby right after school.
Congratulations to the Wilson Tigers varsity baseball team, which won its 17th consecutive DCIAA championship on May 30, 2009, defeating H.D. Woodson by a score of 9-1 at Nationals Park!
Wilson followed its DCIAA win with an inspiring performance in the Congressional Bank Classic championship game that evening, battling to the last out before falling to the St. Albans Bulldogs, 5-4. Video clips of highlights from the game can be viewed at DCSportsFan.com.
After 17 years at the helm of the Wilson baseball program and 16 consecutive DCIAA championships, Coach Eddie Saah retired from coaching, and former Assistant Coach Eddie Smith was named as Wilson's new head varsity baseball coach. Coach Smith was a standout pitcher during his years at Wilson and went on to play at the college level for Western Maryland (now McDaniel College). Coach Smith is well known to the Wilson baseball family, having served as Coach Saah's assistant since 2004. Thanks, again, to Coach Saah for building the great Wilson baseball tradition -- and congratulations to Coach Smith (recently named DC Baseball Coach of the Year 2009 by the Washington Post) and the 2009 Wilson Tigers for keeping that tradition strong!
The Wilson Varsity and Club teams enjoyed the opportunity to practice at Nationals Park on Friday, May 8, 2009. Thank you to the Nationals for making this possible!

Congratulations to the Wilson varsity team for winning its 16th consecutive DCIAA BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP with an 11-2 win over School Without Walls on June 3, 2008! Wilson also won the public school semifinal game of the first annual CONGRESSIONAL BANK CLASSIC, DC's citywide high school baseball tournament, by a score of 11-0 over McKinley on May 31, 2008 at Nationals Park. Wilson then battled St. Albans for several scoreless innings before falling 6-1 in the city championship game.
On Saturday, June 7, 2008, Coach Saah and several Wilson players took part in EMMANUEL BURRISS DAY at Friendship Park, hosted by Northwest Washington Little League. Emmanuel was a standout ballplayer for Wilson (Class of 2003) and is now with the San Francisco Giants, who were in Washington that weekend for a series at Nationals Park.
Congratulations to DEAL MIDDLE SCHOOL, a Wilson feeder school, for winning the DCIAA middle school baseball championship on May 27, 2008 by defeating Sousa 15-5.
