Winfield Sting Fastpitch Softball is Looking for Players Now!
Girls are needed in the 10U, 12U and 16/18U teams.
We need your help to support Mayeski's newest softball field!
The new field being constructed is being brought to us by the love and dedication of Winfield Rec's number one supporter; Wanda Legore. The Ronnie Legore Activities Park Inc. was formed in memory of Wanda's husband who loved softball but succumb to the ills of cancer in 2002. Over the past 10 years Wanda has raised almost $150,000.00 towards the construction of a softball field on her own, but now she needs our help. It is estimated that total costs to complete this endeavor will be at approximately $200,000.00. This is a self funded project with no taxpayer funds being utilized. Please consider a tax deductable donation or supporting one of the many fundraisers that are ongoing or upcoming. Click here to learn more on how to support Wanda and the WRC.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Winfield Youth Softball Organization (WYSO) was established for the purpose of administering and promoting fast pitch softball for the greater Winfield & Taylorsville areas of Carroll County. The WYSO is a non-profit organization under the direction of the Carroll County Department of Recreation & Parks and the Winfield Recreational Council. Our In-House program is separated into 3 leagues; K-1st Grade, 2-4th Grade and 5-8th Grades respectively. Our intent is to teach the basic principles of softball, team building, and sportsmanship, while having the most fun possible, because..."It's all about the girls!"
