Patriots fall short against Gloucester White
October 31, 2009 —
The Mites suffered there first loss of the season today falling 19-20 to the White Knights at Paige Middle School. Playing without starting QB Noah Ponce who was serving a one game suspension the Patriots fell behind early by committing alot of mental mistakes on both offense and defense which resulted in two scoring runs being called back on penalties as well as allowing the Knights to march down the field on offsides penalties. The Mites clawed there way back in the second half to make it close but were denied there perfect season when Jordan Rodrigues was tackled inches short of the goal line on the final play in regulation.
Patriots bounce back
November 7, 2009 —
The Mites bounced back with a 33-6 trouncing off Gloucester Red today at York Middle School to close out the regular season on a positive note. The Patriots clinched at least a share of the regular season championship with the win which pushed there record to 9-1. Gerald Palmer Jr. scored 2 TDS while Quinton Perrin, Jordan Rodrigues and Curry Slack each added 1 in one of the Patriots most impressive offensive efforts of the season. Noah Ponce lead all defenders with 4 tackles 2 sacks and a forced fumble. Off to the playoffs we go with Gloucester White as our first opponent. I'd be worried if I lived across that bridge because the Mites are coming for you.
