Many of us are sad to see another summer come to an end. However, the good news is that soccer season is about to begin!!
Our first club meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 9th at 7:30PM at the West Babylon Junior High School. Please come down to get important information regarding the upcoming season.
Opening Day ceremonies will take place on Saturday, September 12th at 2:30PM at Van Bourgondien Park with teams assembling at 2:15PM for the parade on the side field closest to the church. There will be a parade for our teams to display their banners, as well as, their team spirits. We will have inflatable bouncers, music, and other fun activities for the kids. The snack shack will also be open to sell food, drinks, and other tasty treats. Come down to our fields that day and make it a family event.

September General Club Meeting
The general club meeting for the month of September will be held on Wednesday, September 9th at the West Babylon Junior High School in the cafeteria.
Please come down to get important information about upcoming season activities and fundraising events.
As a reminder the time between 7:30 - 7:45 is to meet with your division coordinators to cover any individual items. The general meeting will begin at 7:45pm. As always these meeting are open to all club members, coaches and parents.
** Coaches ** as a reminder, part of your commitment to your team as their coach includes your presence at these monthly meetings. The purpose of these meetings is for us to share information with you, give you the opportunity to share information with us, and for you to take the information back to your parents. If you cannot attend the meeting for any reason, please make sure you send a team representative in your absence. We look forward to seeing you. |
FUNDRAISER
The South Shore Soccer Club of West Babylon is proud to announce their first "Lucky Lotto" fundraiser to support the club's scholarship fund for graduating high school seniors.
For the month of November 2009 there will be a 30-day drawing. A $5 donation entitles the ticket holder to participate in cash prizes. The NY State Daily Lottery Evening Number will determine the winning numbers.
We will be selling a total of 1,000 tickets (numbers 000 - 999) during the months of September and October. The weekday winning numbers will pay $50.
We will be selling tickets every weekend just outside the snack shack. Please stop by and help us support our area's graduating seniors.
We are looking for volunteers to help us sell tickets for a few hours each weekend, especially High School Seniors. Those interested in participating, please contact Eileen McCoun at eye8487@aol.com.
We would like to thank Johnstons' Funeral Home located on Wellwood Avenue in Lindenhurst for donating their services to print these tickets on behalf of the club. We really appreciate their support.
